Chapter 52 - chapter 52: The Devil Is Back

"Surprised to see me?" His voice sent shivers down my spine, and I felt like the ground had shifted beneath me. Time seemed to stand still as he turned to face me fully.

At that moment, everything around me blurred into a dizzying whirlwind, and the room itself seemed to spin in response.

I was paralyzed, caught in a tangle of confusion and fear. What was the right course of action? Should I flee in panic or cry out for help?

The man before me was not supposed to be here. I had just spoken to the doctor, who had described him as unstable, and even of violent character.

It defied reason that they would allow such a man to roam freely. The world around me echoed with questions, and I was trapped in the unsettling mystery of his presence.

"No..." I breathed, "...you shouldn't be here…" By an action of unconsciousness, I found myself uttering the words.

His lips curled up, showing off his perfect white teeth, "Oh no. I'm here,"

His steps towards me sent shivers and chills to my body. A flashback of cruelty began to hit my head like a brick. I was yet to face another act of merciless and violent desire of his onto my body with his presence circling mine.

"Didn't you miss your husband, my darling?" His voice was low and yet displayed another deception. A charade of a good husband thrilled at finally setting his eyes once more on his wife, whom he adored.

His white patient's outfit inserted more fear into my heart as it suggested only one thing, he was not discharged. The smell of hospital medicines

flooded my nostrils as he was now just inches away.

I took deep breaths trying to keep calm, despite the overwhelming sense of terror engulfing my body.

"Marcus, What happened?" My voice shook. It came out like I was about to cry.

"I do not know myself. But what I can assure you is, what you wanted to happen,"

Without warning, he suddenly seized my neck. His fingers tightened like a vice, blocking the airway to my lungs and my eyes popping open.

His gaze turned evil, depicting what his hand was doing, "Will never happen. How could you agree to be my guardian and take their side? Huh! Have you ever seen a mad person become a billionaire?"

My heart hammered at his words. My hands took hold of his giant one, attempting to free myself from almost death. I was terrified.

"Tell me," His voice turned low, "Have you ever seen a madman become a billionaire?" I shook my head, an attempt to speak produced painful moans.

"Then you should know when to say no," He whispered, his eyes popping out in anger, "You hear?"

Unexpectedly, the sound of the siren made Marcus's hands loose, eventually letting me go. I took a long breath in to remove the bad feeling my lungs faced due to less air. I breathed hard for seconds before my eyes landed on Marcus again, who was staring at the window.

"Damn it!" He spat, "What the hell are these mad people doing here?"

So my hunch was correct. He did escape from the hospital. Right at that moment, I felt a string of misfortune hanging on me like an enchanted necklace, making the reality bitter and harsh against me.

I married a man who was capable of escaping even a hospital which had eyes, both natural and artificial watching over everything.

Marcus suddenly made a movement to the door, "Don't move or else..." He warned me and excited the room.

Marcus' POV

I was violent and I was proud of my nature. It inserted fear in people, the fear to obey me. I was no easy target, again, heartfelt thanks to this nature.

So Who were these people to choose for me which character was the best? Who the hell informed them of my needs? And worse, their car dared to touch my ground? Did they really think they would easily make me their victim?

My feet took me to the open space between the living room and the kitchen. The maids jaws dropped at my disposal.

"Surprised to see me?" An utter of one sentence and they were all back to what they were doing without even daring to glance at me. They kept running like little maniacs.

That's right, I was back. I owed their lives and the least they could do was obeying my commands regardless of the whether.

I stepped outside, ready to start a war. The ambulance reliesed on two doctors, one with grey hair and old while the other one with the blonde hair, looking in his early thirties and poor.

I mean, his shirt looked so worn out. It even started to lose it's color. I also took it he had student loan. His life must have been be a mess.

"Mr. Del Monte," So he spoke, Mhh, " We are sorry for Intruding but we need to take you back to the hospital as you are not well yet,"

"Would I be standing on my two feet If I were not fine?" I crossed my arms, my face intensifying the challenge I possed on them. What were they going to do? I was curious. After all, it was the hospital owned by my sworn enemy.

"Marcus, please don't make it harder for us or for you. This is for your own good," The old man spoke with wisdom as the poor guy looked at him, clueless with what he should do.

"How so? How can you make this harder for me whem I am perfectly fine, Dear doctors?" I laughed. What disease did I possess? A personality disease? They must be kidding.

"We are not stupid, Marcus. We don't usually take so much efforts to look for patients who willingly escape the hospital but we have followed you all the way here. Don't you think we'd have a very good reason?"

"Well then, explaining would save us some great amount of time Instead of convincing me to go to that filthy hospital," I said.

They eyes wandered behind and I tilted. The maids exchanged glances. So we weren't the only ones here.

Interesting.

"As a doctor, we cannot dispose our patients' Information as it is agaist our work policies. It requires us some privacy,"

"And as a doctor you should have discharged me as I was already good and back to my state," I spat, "You've lost the game. Please go back to where your coming from, "

The grey haired man closed his eyes, his hands clenching a fist. Understandable action of a man who failed his mission.

"Then we are sorry. We have no other choice," The ambulance released more men from it. Dressed in blue uniforms, "Get him," He ordered.

seriously ?!

"Touch me and you will pay it with all that you have," I warned. Behind me came a number of guards, ready to bite whoever touched their master.

The men stood behind the two doctors, my eyes blankly staring at the old man as he did the same, "One touch and I sue your hospital for violeting me in the name of my health,"
