Ivans's P.O.V:
My body feels heavy and so do my eyes. Everything looks dark and all I can hear is creaks and laughs. I want to run but my body won't move. I need someone to help me, someone, anyone, MOM!!
Ivan suddenly vaulted up with sweat running down his face. He drew short, swift breaths before looking down. As his head moved down his eyes landed on the stone ground below. The young boy was confused, wasn't he just on muddy grounds. The boy lifted up his head and saw clusters and clusters of glowing crystals that colors continuously changed upon the walls of the cave. Ivan became mesmerized by such a sight before asking the question;
``Where am I?``
As that question lingered in his mind he smelt something, something delicious. His stomach growled and his mouth began watering. Without any hesitation his body moved forth and he came from where he was laying. Upon exiting he saw the back of a person in front of a dimly lit campfire. ``Your up``; the mysterious person said in a female-like voice. The voice was definitely feminine but it sounded broken. Ivan slowly walked forth while asking the person if he had seen his mother before they rose from the ground.
The mystery person turned around revealing a mask with a weird symbol that had the shape of a circle with a simple line splitting it in half. She also had a purple hood over their head that showed dark bangs underneath, a cloak that matched the color of the hood and a similar looking outfit that had hints of black along the waists, long nails, a purple blindfold and golden bands along her arms. Ivan froze in fear as she approached him. The woman looked no taller than 5'10ft but seemed like a giant to the little boy but what feared him was the obvious leaking aura emanating from behind her. Though he was young, Ivan could sense that this woman was not to be trifled with.
The woman continued to approach him before extending her left hand out. Ivan could do nothing but close his eyes as his body shivered in fear. Suddenly Ivan felt something warm on his left cheek and opened his eyes to see the mysterious woman caressing it.
``Are you ok ?``
A smile appeared on her face as she tilted it to the side. Her smile made the little boy blush and gave him a feeling of warmth that calmed him down. ``Yes, im fine``; Ivan uttered.
``That's great``
The smile that was on her face vanished and she began to ask a series of questions one after the other. ``So how did you get here`` was the first question she asked, a question that Ivan had no clue how to answer. He lingered at first trying to fully process while the mystery woman continued to stare at him with a blank expression. ``I'm not sure how I got here?``; Ivan said, answering the first question. The woman did not like this answer and questioned how had no knowledge of how he came here. Ivan told her about what he did before coming here concerning the crystal but she just wouldn't listen. The woman gritted her teeth before walking off back to the campfire.
``Miss have you seen a woman with red hair, she's my mom and I kinda lost her``; Ivan said with his head down but got no reply. She sat down around the campfire while gnawing on her nails. The sounds of them creaking echoed through the cave and what followed was strange muttering . Ivan walked towards her and extended his hand. Concern filled the little boy before he asked if she was ok, his left hand extended towards her before it landed on her shoulder. Upon feeling his touch she went wild and slapped it off in an instant.
``DON'T TOUCH ME``
The small, tender hands of Ivan began shivering in fear as tears swelled up under his eyes. He saw the pure anger over her face and ran off in fear. The boy ran from where he was first standing through a tunnel that seemed endless. Tiny droplets of water dripped on his body that came from the tunnel's roof that surprisingly made loud noises when landing. Ivan closed in on the end of the tunnel and what awaited him was even more mystery. A giant stone door with writings on each side that was at least 14 ft tall and seemed unopenable. It had such disgusting bloodlust creaking out of it that Ivan's body once again froze and his heart began beating faster than before. The air felt hot and Ivans muscles felt tense, this bloodlust was so strong it felt like it would kill the tiny child.
While Ivan stood in front of what seemed like hell itself in the castle that overlooked the capital city of Randu with its luminescent, holy aura chaos was ensuing. The queen of Randu, Liona Winslow, Ivans Aunt had just been informed that her husband was injured while out with Von. She had not gotten all of the details but just enough to make her panic. She walked through the long hallways of the castle with her royal maid beside her trying to help her calm down. No matter what the maid said, Liona kept moving forth, visibly shaken up. Soon she arrived in front of a huge wooden door with two knights in armor similar to ones that raided the cabin. ``Your highness what are you doing here?``; they asked but no answer was given back, only a command.
``Open the door!!``
The guards could see the fiery wrath in her eyes and shivered in fear. Without hesitance they opened the door revealing countless doctors, healing mages and countless others caring towers of boxes filled with healing potions and other medical equipment. What's going on, how bad was his injury for there to be so many mages?
Liona stood still for a couple of seconds trying to process everything that happened as a doctor wearing a white mask with gray hair walked towards her. He asked the same questions the knights had but like before she didn't give a clear answer and asked what had happened to Arthur.
At first the doctor hesitated but when he saw the worried look in her eyes he could not withhold the information.
``The king, your brother and his family were attacked by someone or something whilst away. This thing as i'd put it took the lives of both Sir Vons wife and son. It also gave both your brother and the king severe injuries. We are trying our best to heal him but nothing is working yet.``
``And what of my brother``; Liona asked, already tense from the report of her husband being badly injured.
``He…is no more.``
Liona froze, her heart skipped a beat as the world around her went silent. Ringing echoed around her and sorrow encompassed her soul. She could hear nothing around her, the once loud room was void of sound. No matter what was let out from the mouths of others nothing went in. Her legs became weak and tears began swelling up under her eyes. Before she knew it her entire body was on the floor, head down and both hands gripping it tight. Her breathing became swift and her heartbeat began speeding up as well.
This was a feeling not unfamiliar to her but it hurt more than ever.
Memories of her overwhelming but loving brother stormed her mind as more and more tears poured out from her eyes like a fountain. Screams of sorrow burst from her mouth and all her subjects could do was watch.
