Chapter 57 - TCG-Building (2)

The Redwood family is a storied military lineage that has played a prominent role in the defense of Metropolis for generations. General Richard Redwood, the patriarch of the family, is not only a revered military leader but also an S-class Shadowist, making him one of the most formidable individuals in the city. His abilities have earned him the respect and admiration of both allies and adversaries alike.

General Redwood's dedication to duty and his unwavering commitment to the safety and security of Metropolis are qualities that have defined the Redwood family for decades. The family's military tradition extends back several generations, with many of its members serving in the city's armed forces or various branches of law enforcement.

In addition to General Redwood's unparalleled military and shadow manipulation skills, his family members are known for their exceptional combat prowess, tactical acumen, and unwavering loyalty to the city. The Redwoods have always been at the forefront of defending Metropolis from threats, whether they be external or internal.

The Redwood family estate, a sprawling compound on the outskirts of Metropolis, serves as both a residence and a training ground. Here, the family's younger members receive rigorous instruction in martial combat, shadow manipulation, and military strategy from a young age. The estate is a place where tradition, discipline, and honor are instilled into each generation.

Throughout Metropolis, the Redwoods are respected not only for their military achievements but also for their philanthropic efforts. They are known to support various charitable organizations and initiatives, particularly those aimed at helping veterans and underprivileged citizens.

The Redwood family's legacy is one of valor, duty, and a commitment to protecting Metropolis from any threat that may arise. General Redwood's current mission, to rescue his grandson Ethan from the perilous game inside the masquerade building, is just another chapter in the family's long history of service and sacrifice for the city they hold dear.

Jonathan redwood turns to Colonel Harrison and asks,

"Colonel, what options do we have for breaching this artifact's defenses? We cannot leave Ethan trapped inside that building."

Colonel Harrison replies with a sense of urgency,

"Sir, we're coordinating with our top experts in arcane and supernatural phenomena. They're working on a way to neutralize or bypass the heavenly artifact's barrier. It's a complex task, and we're facing something beyond our conventional understanding."

General Redwood nods, his jaw set with determination.

"I want you to expedite those efforts, Colonel. Time is of the essence. We need a solution, and we need it fast."

As the helicopter continues to hover over the secured perimeter, General Redwood's thoughts are consumed by worry for his grandson and the inexplicable mysteries that shroud the building. The challenges ahead are unlike any he has ever faced, and the fate of Ethan Redwood remains uncertain in the face of this formidable supernatural barrier.

The hours pass by, and the tension outside the masquerade building continues to mount. General Redwood maintains a stern and composed exterior, but his heart aches with worry for Ethan. He knows that every passing moment could be critical for his grandson's safety.

Colonel Harrison and his team of experts work tirelessly, examining every possible approach to breach the heavenly artifact's defenses. They consult ancient texts, arcane scholars, and even call upon supernatural beings who might possess knowledge of such enchantments.

Meanwhile, outside the building, the crowd of onlookers grows, comprised of both concerned citizens and press eager to report on the mysterious events unfolding. The police and military personnel struggle to maintain order and keep curious onlookers at bay.

Reports from inside the building are sparse, leaving General Redwood and his team in the dark about the true nature of the challenges Ethan faces. It's a frustrating and nerve-wracking ordeal, made all the more difficult by the enigmatic aura that cloaks the masquerade building.

In the helicopter, General Redwood's thoughts are consumed by questions. Who or what is behind this elaborate and dangerous game? What awaits Ethan and the other participants inside? And most importantly, how can they overcome the powerful supernatural barrier protecting the building?

As the hours turn into an agonizing wait, General Redwood's resolve remains unshaken. He is determined to do whatever it takes to rescue his grandson, no matter how insurmountable the odds may seem.

"Called Hemswroth Todak", General Jonathan Issue an order

the colonel become shiver all of sudden

'Can you do it yourself general', he roared in his heart

Hemsworth Todak,  hails from the respected Todak family, a family deeply entrenched in the ranks of law enforcement in Metropolis. The Todaks have dedicated generations to upholding justice and maintaining order within the city's boundaries.

Hemsworth Todak and his family on a path that is seemingly at odds with the Redwoods, as their pursuits diverge in the realms of military service and law enforcement. The longstanding rivalry between Hemsworth Todak and the Redwood family's patriarch has been a matter of Metropolis lore, stretching back for decades.

While the Redwoods have been known for their unwavering commitment to defending the nation's borders and interests, the Hemsworth's have focused on preserving order within the city and safeguarding its citizens. This fundamental difference in their callings has created an unspoken rivalry that has lasted for generations.

------------------

Then Hemsworth Todak confronted Jonathan Redwood, his voice seething with anger.

"You bastard, dare you instruct me?" Hemsworth's accusation was sharp.

"Why wouldn't I?" Jonathan replied stubbornly.

"What are you doing here?"

"Saving my grandson," Jonathan stated firmly.

"You don't have any authority here. This is a police matter."

Jonathan chuckled sarcastically. "Heh, you're so irresponsible. This situation is a disaster for the city, and as the military head, I cannot stand idly by."

"Bah, you just want to dote on your grandson."

Their heated exchange continued as Jonathan Redwood and Hemsworth Todak confronted each other in the midst of the unfolding crisis. Their rivalry and differing principles had clearly not diminished over the years.

Jonathan Redwood, his stern demeanor unyielding, retorted,

"You're too blinded by your duty, Todak. This situation requires a swift and decisive response, not the sluggishness of bureaucracy."

Hemsworth Todak, equally determined, shot back,

"And you, Redwood, think you can just waltz in here with your military bravado and solve everything? This is a matter for the police to handle. We'll find a way to deal with it."

"You dare!" Their voices thundered as their auras clashed

The tension in the air grew thicker, suffocating all those who witnessed the clash of the two titanic auras. As Hemsworth Todak and Jonathan Redwood locked eyes, the world around them seemed to warp and twist, echoing the magnitude of their power.

Their voices reverberated like a symphony of thunder, shaking the very foundation of the city. Buildings trembled, and windows shattered, showering the streets with glass shards. A deafening roar resounded, drowning out all other sounds as if the heavens themselves were protesting their confrontation.

The rift in the clouds above expanded, casting an eerie, otherworldly light on the city below. People, unable to withstand the overwhelming pressure, fell to their knees, gasping for breath. Birds scattered from the sky, and cars screeched to a halt, their alarms blaring in dissonance with the tumultuous atmosphere.

In the midst of this cataclysmic display of power, the two stubborn rivals continued to glare at each other, their auras locked in a fierce struggle. It was a breathtaking spectacle, a testament to the immense strength of the Redwood and Todak families, and a chilling reminder of the chaos that could unfold if their rivalry remained unchecked.

"Stop it, Hemsworth!" Jonathan Redwood's voice boomed.

"You first!" Hemsworth responded defiantly.

"Damn old man!" Jonathan muttered.

The two stubborn rivals eventually came to a truce, realizing the destructive force of their combined auras was causing chaos and destruction in the city.

---------

After they stop fighting an officer came to report to the Hemsworth,

"Sir, we got report that the same case go on in another countries too sir"

The news of a similar case occurring in another country sent shockwaves through the room. Hemsworth Todak's stern expression deepened into a scowl as he processed the gravity of the situation.

"How can this be?" he muttered to himself before turning his attention to the officer. "What's the current status of our forces in that region?"

The officer swallowed nervously before responding, "Sir, we've dispatched a team to assess the situation, but communication has been difficult. It's chaos out there."

Hemsworth Todak clenched his fists, his mind racing with thoughts of the potential dangers his grandson, Ethan, might be facing. He glanced over at Jonathan Redwood, whose anxiety mirrored his own.

Jonathan couldn't help but voice his fears. "I hope you're alright, son," he whispered, his voice filled with genuine concern for Ethan's safety.

In another corner of the building, a woman sat alone, her expression etched with deep concern. Lost in her thoughts, she hardly noticed the presence of a servant who approached her with a tray of food.

"Madam," the servant spoke softly, "would you like something to help him?"

She blinked, returning to the present moment, but her eyes still bore the weight of worry. "Hmm, no need," she replied absently, her mind clearly preoccupied.

The servant nodded respectfully and withdrew, leaving the woman to her thoughts as she contemplated the uncertain fate of those trapped inside the enigmatic building.
