"Let's eat and drink tonight" the orphanage celebrate Rezo's success in becoming a ghuna. Even though it wasn't a big party, Rezo, Marget and the other orphanage kids enjoyed themselves till they went asleep. After Rezo and Marget had sent everyone to their rooms,they began cleaning up the place and later wash the dishes. While washing the dishes, "I'm proud of you and believe that you can be whatever you want to be" Marget tells Rezo with a warm smile on her face. Hearing those words from her made him happy and he slept soundly that night.
A week had passed and it was time for Rezo to leave the orphanage to his new home,the Ghuns. Before leaving, everyone came to see him off. "Goodbye,have a safe journey"they all said with tears of joy waving at him, "I promise to visit the orphanage anytime I am allowed to" waving back at with a pathetic face and tears in his eyes before taking his leave with his huge bag behind him.
He arrives at the facility where he took his test a week ago and enters the building. As he entered the building,he is told to prove that he is really a ghuna by showing his watch. At the beginning,his gets confused but remembers that Lade(the overseer of the test he partook in) had giving him and the other watches. He shows them the watch before he is showed to sit down and wait for someone.
Thirty minutes have passed since he sat there waiting. A lot of people were entering and leaving the building. Suddenly,Rezo felt someone tap his shoulder,he turned to see a young man fairly tall in a jacket with dreadlocks who seemed to be 19,maybe 20 appear beside him. "Are you Rezo " he said to Rezo with Rezo responding "yes". " I should have arrived 30 mins ago to pick you up but due to some unforeseen circumstance, I came late.Sorry man" he said to Rezo sincerely apologizing for coming later. Rezo immediately stated that it was no problem before the dreads guy stated his name to him "I'm Dreg,your guide to your new home. Let's go".
Rezo went along with Dreg till they reaced the transportation stop,an underground space underneath the building. Rezo is astound to see five rifts in there. Dreg explains to Rezo that these rifts connects to each of the bases of the Ghuns then tells him theirs was was the second counting from the left. Before they enter their rift, Rezo sees a familiar face who has sees to be Pipi and calls her name. She turn to see who is calling and sees him. She seems to be walking with her guide who was a young lady. He then waves at her before entering the rift.
Rezo finally arrived at the infamous ground D, the scavenger's rove. The sky is dark with gray soil underneath their feet,trees with blue leaves surrounding them and a blue moon up in the sky. Dreg shows Rezo his car and tells him their base is just some few metres ahead down the hill. They both enter the car and head to their base. On their way to the base, Dreg explains to Rezo that their base is known as the fouth barrack that fight aliens in ground D and the base is a fun place to be with no dull moments. After some few minutes, they arrive at a very huge building with a graffiti written boldly in front,"barracks 4".
The gates open and they drive inside. Rezo admires the unique design for the inside of the building as they drove to the parking lot. After parking the car, Dreg showed Rezo to the secretary of barracks four, Butler,a young martian girl who registered Rezo before giving him the key to his room. Dreg showed him to the door of his room before exiting somewhere else. He then opened his door and entered his room.
Inside his room,Rezo meets his new roommate,a boy around his age and height with blonde hair. His name is Kai. Kai was just unpacking his goods as Rezo arrived. Rezo then introduces himself and Kai does the same. They both began unpacking their stuff and settled in their room. Later that night, an announcement was made through the speakers in the building calling all the new recruits to meet up in the assembly hall. Both Rezo and Kai rush to the hall. To their surprise,a party was being held there by the old members of barracks 4 to welcome the new members of their group. Joy and celebration fills the air,Rezo and Kai enjoy the celebration until Rezo sees Dreg all go to him. They have a nice conversation and Dreg introduces Rezo to some of his friends. Suddenly Rezo hears loud cheers,it sees to be for people having a drinking competition. Both Dreg and Rezo go to see what is happening. They see a man totally unconscious with his head on the table and a woman with a bottle in her hand still drinking. The woman was wearing a tank top with her tattoos across both her arms and a portion of her chest with noticable ear piercings. The woman screamed for her next round of drinks. Out of curiosity, Rezo asked Dreg who the woman was. Dreg was shocked that Rezo didn't know who the woman was and explained to him that she was one of the strongest ghunas on the planet, one of the few people in the Ghuns to have gained the title of "lettered guns",the rare D, Jeanne. Rezo is shocked this news after seeing her drunk but decided to forget about it now and enjoy the celebration. The night was filled with excitement.
