Chapter 29 - [Chapter 26] Foxes V/s Wolves Part 16 ~ The Settlement

[South Korea, Wolves Headquarters]

[Midnight 1:45 am]

[Attack Commence on the Wolves]

...

Right after Kyro's death.

"WAAAAAAHAAAAA!"

"Kyro-sama!"

"R.I.P."

"May you rest in peace Kyro."

"Sorrows and prayers. Sorrows and prayers."

"WAAAHAAAA! HE'S GONE!"

...

...

ACHO!

Chelsea blows her wet nose into a handkerchief someone lent her before setting it aside in her inventory, making note to wash it before returning it back to the kind fellow. When she looks up, she is met with all eyes on her.

Yulius seeing her sister has finally calm down, she asked for the 4th time, "are you good now?" Not trusting her voice, she nodded. Sighing, she looked over to the 2 groups. Apparently, the wolves and the foxes amidst of her battle with the decease fox patriarch, went their separate ways and unconsciously formed 2 groups.

And now that Kyro is dead for good, Shiro decided it was a good idea to reveal himself, that he was indeed, not dead, and very much alive. Or so he says. What's surprising is that the foxes didn't seem too upset with the turn of events.

Sure, their current patriarch just died, but they're matured enough to understand that they should not take out their anger on someone else. Moreover, they should've seen this coming as they witness Yulius easily healed Zefron back to as good as new. Who's to say she didn't do the same thing to the wolf patriarch.

All in all, nobody made a move. Which was probably because most were either mourning, while some knew better than to fight a losing battle, or lastly, they lost their willpower to continue on with the war. As a result, both sides were just there, sitting ducks as they observed the twin that seemed to be right in her mind while the other is emotional unstable.

When her gaze made eye contact with many wolf and fox members, they couldn't help but flinch. Deep blue ocean eyes met with black, red, green-ish, etc, eyes made them feel naked, like their soul was being stared right through them, and all their secrets are being revealed one by one the longer she continues to stare at them.

But that's not possible. Unless you have an awakened ability that allows you to read other people's mind. They assumed she could not do so as her awakened ability has something to do with her eyes strengthening her body and powers. Oh, how wrong they were. But you can't blame them.

As the siblings in front of them has done all their research about the Great Mythical Beast Clans. It's not surprising that they knew the backs and the ins of all of their clans better than most. While for them, they knew close to nothing about Yulius and Chelsea.

At most, they know they're very strong and have extraordinary healing abilities. Not to mention, how young they look. From their observations, they look to be about 7-10 years old. Quite far off because their height does not meet the requirements of a 6-year-old but an 8-year-old at most.

Moreover, they are Zefron's new masters, and they apparently have an organization named Eminence which sparked their interest greatly. Someone as well-known as Kitsune was willing to betray his previous one in order to serve them is something that threw many off.

Why would someone who has built up fame in their respective clan for many years, earning the trust of many and developing a following, throw that all away for some stranger? Sure, they're strong and though Kyro did kill his brother, those reasons couldn't possibly be good enough to swear loyalty to some minor.

At most, he would ask for their assistant in dealing with Kyro and the war. After that, they go their separate ways once he pays Eminence back for their assistance. That should've been what happen, and yet, things have turned out like this.

As a result, many couldn't help but warily look in her direction. Did she perhaps force Zefron to swear loyalty to Eminence. No, that can't be. But it would make sense. Then again, Zefron would rather die, commit seppuku (suicide), then do something against his own will.

But if that were the case, why hasn't he done so? Moreover, why does he seem happy serving them? Well, the answer is certainly clear. Zefron voluntarily swore loyalty to them. He wasn't pressured, forced, or manipulated. He did so because he wanted to.

The question is why? What was so awe-inspiring about these fellow awakeners that made them so different from many, leading to Zefron's defect from the fox clan to join their organization. Their questions were answered the second they thought back to how they both single handedly ended a war they couldn't do themselves.

Yulius not only trusted Zefron to fight with Kyro temporarily, but also healed all his wounds after his battle, putting herself at risk. After all, many awakeners know that to heal someone takes up a lot of energy which was why many awakeners wanted Kartein. Since his healing abilities are exceptional and one of a kind.

Just goes to show that Eminence values their awakeners. Unlike other awakened organizations, they are treated like pawns and whether they live or die, they couldn't care less. That's what makes Eminence different from other organizations and well, that's one of the main reasons why Zefron joined a newly awakened organization.

Because they care. And some who thought this couldn't help but feel moved by their thoughtfulness. Because they care. And above all, Chelsea saved the remaining fox and wolf members from the last attack when she didn't have to.

She could've let them die for all she care, but didn't. Of course, that meant she could have an alternative motive for saving them, but so far, neither side have been forced to do anything. Instead, they're all sitting down, criss cross applesauce, like well-behaved puppies, waiting their turn to be healed by one of the twins.

It went relatively fast because sixth eyes helped maximize the use of RCT to a minimum. Meaning, they can use RCT repeatedly without expelling much energy. Good for them, because RCT is hard to do which was why most Jujutsu Kaisen sorcerers were not able to use such an overpowered technique like RCT.

But in case they weren't able to use RCT, they could always reverse their bodies before they got injured with their time manipulation ability. The only difference between the 2 techniques was that RCT only reverse their injuries while time manipulation reverses everything that happened in the time frame of their injuries.

Meaning, their stamina and energy reserves are reset to when they first started the war. Yulius and Chelsea didn't really care if they used either, it's just manipulating time uses more energy since the benefits are more than RCT.

Time manipulation is really overpowered. The unfortunate part is it has requirements you need to fulfill in order for its ability to function properly. For example, to reverse someone who is dead, the user needs at least a strand of that person's hair in order to bring them back.

Unfortunately, the explosion blew everything to smithereens so even if either of the twins wanted to bring back all the lives lost in the war, they can't. The only way to do so is if they reverse time by a couple of hours from before the war occurred.

That, as you can tell, requires a lot of energy. Energy neither of the twins have even if they were to team up and continuously reverse their body's stamina and energy reserves back to full. In the far future, maybe they could successfully do it, but by then it'll be too late.

Unless they were to develop a technique that allows them to time travel. But both sisters agreed that that sh*t is risky as f*ck. Watching 'The Flash' already gave them all the information they needed to know that time traveling is dangerous.

Personally, they wouldn't want to come back to a timeline where their oppa is now their unnie. Urgh, just the thought of it gave them shivers. A female Jiwoo wouldn't be bad, it's just, there will be a lot of changes in that timeline which makes the future knowledge they have of the world go to waste.

Yeah, it's better not to touch the subject of time traveling within a 10-foot-long pole. All for the betterment of not only their timeline, but many others that they do not plan to discover.

The plus side of their time manipulation ability is that such requirements does not need to be fulfilled by the users. For example, if their body were to explode into a million pieces, leaving not even a strand of their hair behind, they will only need a couple of hours before their body fully regenerates back from ashes.

Therefore, making them unkillable creatures. The only immortals in the Eleceed world. Though technically, the only thing that can kill them is old age, but that won't happen for quite a while. At least, not before they leave behind a one-of-a-kind, legacy.

Knowing that Zefron's new master isn't a complete and total tyrant, everyone's nerves calmed a little, but this didn't necessarily mean that they were out of blue just yet, as the twins can still kill them if they had a valid reason to. This stirred many fox member's nerves who are well aware of their incriminating past.

The question is whether or not they know. Hopefully they didn't, because it would mean they get to live for another day. Sadly, that is not the case. As nothing escapes the eyes of a Seo. And those said Seo sisters are well aware of each and every one of the fox's incriminating pasts.

It's only a matter of time before they decide to put down those incriminating bastards. One Chelsea will take full pleasure in, letting her sadistic side run wild. Adding on, due to Kyro's death, it put her in a bad mood where she's waiting to just let go. Criminals are good targets to take out her anger on.

So, most of the foxes upcoming death is finalize the second Eminence is done negotiating with the wolves and foxes that are from Kitsune's fraction.

Lucky them.

For being able to live a couple more minutes.

Really, good for them.
