"Empress?" Erina spoke and looked at me in confusion.
"Papa, what happened?" Asked Aria and pulled my shirt in annoyance.
I rubbed my eyes and realised I was daydreaming. "What am I thinking? Why did her face suddenly appear at Mom's place? I think it's because she treated me like her son in such a gentle and careful way. She is Godmother to me in the absence of Erina."
I patted Aria's hair, her smile returned, and she closed her eyes. Turning around to Erina I said. "I'm exhausted, I need some rest."
Erina and Aria looked at me in confusion, seeing me acting weird, they both became worried and thought I was not good or hiding something from them. I saw their concerned gaze on me. "I'm good, don't be so much worried about me. I will be good once I have some rest."
They simply nodded their heads, but their concern for me was still evident on their faces. Especially Aria, who pulled my shirt and said, "Papa, are you okay? Please, tell me. I will heal you."
Aria thought that I had some serious illness and my life could be in danger. Her body started to tremble with the thought that I would leave her alone in this world. I couldn't help but chuckle at her reaction and find it cute how much she loved me.
"I'm okay, my princess, I don't have any illness." I kissed her forehead and caressed her hair. Aria's cheek turned red, and after receiving my soft kiss, her heart started to pound in joy, and all the concern of losing me faded away, she hugged me tightly as I stroked her head.
Erina looked at our clingy hug and found herself alone, no one could talk to her, hug her, or pull her out of loneliness. She looked at us as her gaze fell on Aria, she wanted to talk to her and called out my name. "Evan,"
Listening to Erina's call, I separated myself from Aria. She was reluctant to leave me and gave Erina unfriendly looks. I asked, "What is it, Mom?"
She appeared hesitant at first but finally spoke. "I want to spend some time with Aria. I know she doesn't like me but is my daughter too."
"Um..." I stood speechless when Erina finished her words. I glanced at Aria and pondered that she should talk with Erina. She wouldn't be able to talk to others in her language of gods, and I needed to teach her human language.
I nodded my head with a smile, I moved at Aria's soft shoulders.
"Aria, I want you to talk and spend some time with my mom," I spoke softly in her ears and waited for her response.
Aria was shocked at my phrase, she hated Erina and wanted her to disappear. There is no way that she will accept my wish.
She turned around and her hand instantly wrapped around my abdomen. "Papa! No... I will not talk with that woman, I hate her, she wants to do something bad with you."
She shouted and shook her head, Erina witnessed Aria's complex as her intuition told her Aria didn't want to talk with her. She felt her heart was being stabbed by an invisible knife at the thought of her daughter refusing to talk with her.
Seeing Erina's saddened expression, pain squeezed my heart. I looked into Aria's pink eyes and heart pupils inside them. "Aria, she is my mom, she would never want to think something bad for me."
"But Papa, she is bad—"
"She isn't bad, I believe her, as your father would never think of hurting you," I firmly spoke to her, Aria stifled in one place and looked at me with hesitation. She didn't want to talk with Erina and think of her as a woman to hurt me. However, after listening to my soft voice, she became reassured that Erina would not think anything malicious of me.
She nodded her head while looking down; from inside, she didn't want to talk with anyone else except me, but she couldn't deny my wish.
Erina watches over us quietly as she sees Aria's reluctant face.
"My smart lovely daughter, I know you would listen to me. Here, I'm going to teach you a very sacred spell, 'Sylvan Tongue'."
I moved my hand and touched Aria's forehead with my finger.
Her eyes shone with a white glow, and she felt a surge of mana travelling around her veins. It was only for a few seconds, and she felt normal once again.
"Papa, I don't feel any different, it was like the same." Aria examined herself and didn't feel any different than before. However, she didn't realise that she could now speak the human language.
Erina's eyes widened in shock, and she looked towards Aria. When she spoke, Erina could easily understand her words and felt her voice was even adorable. "I can understand her now, Even... Did you use magic?"
Erina wouldn't believe in magic or fairytales in past, until the last monster attack in the city plaza. Many people's lives changed, and things that no one ever thought could be true have become a reality.
I nodded in her response as I pondered. "It's a very sacred spell for Elves. Only high bloodlines were eligible to learn these spells. I would not have got this if I hadn't helped elves from demon corruption and aided their people. But that is not it; I got many other greater things in return."
Aria looked at Erina in surprise as they both could understand each other. "Papa, I understand what she is saying!"
"Yes, now go and talk to my mom." I pushed her toward Erina slightly. Aria holds herself, but she soon takes the first few steps; she leaves her head slightly at Erina. With a small, faint voice spoke.
"Papa is mine, I won't give him to you or anyone." She said with determination, shaking her shoulder and clenching her fist.
She tried to claim me only for herself and would go any extreme as possible. However, her cute face and red cheek instantly made Erina's heart melt at her cuteness with extremely exquisite looks.
"Oh, so cute! You are so adorable, my daughter." Erina instantly hugged Aria and caressed her hair.
"Her hair is so beautiful and smooth. Even her skin is so soft as a glowing crystal, and she has big pink eyes. She looks just like a boll." Erina couldn't hold her urge and erupting feeling of having a beautiful granddaughter.
"No, don't touch my hair, only Papa can do that and hug me," Aria tried to resist, but I stopped Erina before she could hurt her.
"Mom! Wait, don't go overboard!"
Aria could have easily hurt or caused some serious injury to anyone with her slightest strength. If I didn't teach her to control her power, she would hurt people around her.
A few moments later, Erina finally calmed down and looked apologetically at Aria, she turned her head around in annoyance.
"I'm sorry Aria, I didn't mean to be rough," Erina apologised at her sudden rush to hug Aria while ignoring her discomfort. She didn't like anyone touch her except me.
"See, Mom has already apologised, there is no need to be angry at her," I spoke and saw, that Aria was glancing coldly at Erina. She sighed and walked closer toward her, I was surprised and didn't think she would take initiative on her own.
Aria approached her and stood a few inches away from Erina. I was worried at first that she would hurt Erina, but sensing her calm aura, I held back and observed from behind.
"I don't like you, and I won't give Papa to you," Aria said to her, Erina stared at her when she chuckled in laughter.
"Aria my daughter... Hahaha... You are so cute," Erina patted Aria's head.
Aria became frustrated and shouted at her, but her voice was so cute that it felt like she was annoyed. "Don't pet me, Papa looks like she is not listening to me."
I didn't reply and looked at their little play, it felt so warm witnessing them playing. Their voice echoed in the room as I felt our house once again become lively. "Huff... It feels good being see them playing, I wish this precious time never ends."
I looked at the window and saw a small port with dirt that Erian had put there. there were some seeds inside but they were dead. I was about to examine them when suddenly someone knocked on the doorbell.
"*Knock! Kncok!*"
Our lively time ended when the door spark travelled inside. "Could at this time? No, it is something different, I can feel a familiar energy."
"It is the landlord, he might be here to get the rent," Erina runs toward the door in a rush. I stopped her in the middle.
"Mom, wait let me talk."
"Huh? You wanna talk to him? But He is here to get the rent, I need to go back and fetch all the money."
"No, it's not the landlord. Please let me talk." I held Erina's hand and looked into her eyes. Seeing me so close in my 'Pure Love of Eternal' state, Erina blushed profusely. She could feel my warmth, and her worries faded as she nodded and trusted my words.
While Aria's eyes widened in rage witnessing her in my arms, Arai's ended erupted into the rage. I saw Arai and walked toward her. "Don't leave, house and stay with Erina,"
She nodded her head unwillingly, and before I left she pulled my shirt. "Papa, please me back soon."
"I will, my Aria."
I replied and walked toward the door, as I stepped other side, I saw a beautiful woman in a familiar-looking formal suit, we exchanged glances, I stood calm while the beautiful woman looked at me with disdainful eyes.
"Lady olivia wants to meet you."
