Chereads / God-Seedling's journey to become a true God / Chapter 4 - Original World: Preparation

Chapter 4 - Original World: Preparation

It was too much.

All of it.

Snow showing up and telling me that I am something called a God-Seedling and that I can become an actual God with its help.

My body's time being turned back.

And the knowledge that I was completely and utterly alone in this big wide world.

Literally.

I decided to go back to sleep. Snow didn't stop me. Once the blanket had been pulled to my chin Snow finally spoke again, "You can take as much time as you want in this world to prepare."

"Sure," I mumbled in answer.

A few hours later I was awake again and moving about my apartment putting things into my inventory.

Books, clothes, crafts, and other items like medicine and such. I scoured the whole apartment from top to bottom.

Once I was done with my home I asked Snow, "Can you unlock doors for me?"

Snow flashed a yellow light for two seconds before answering, "All the doors in this world are open for you."

"Great," I grabbed my jacket and left the apartment, leaving the keys in the door. I put the jacket on in the hallway and looked at the door in front of me, opposite my door.

"Then let us get started with this," I mumbled and opened the door to my neighbor's apartment.

I became meticulous with gathering things. Everything that I could find I placed in my inventory. I went through apartments and houses. Stores and warehouses. Storages and factories.

Everything I thought I could use when the time needed, went into the inventory.

Snow helped in keeping the inventory organized by putting things into categories and then sub-categories just like I had seen was able to do.

Days passed. We moved from city to city not leaving anything behind.

Months passed. Snow helped me not get lost in the city streets in places I had never been in, which just so happened to be everywhere.

Years passed. I hugged my knees while lying on a bed and cried. I wept and wept while Snow remained silent, hovering above me.

Decades passed. We moved from country to country. I had decided that I would no longer search through people's houses. Snow placed a marker on the places that held lots of items I wanted.

A century passed.

"Will you travel back in time now?" Snow asked once the last item had been stored in the inventory. I looked around myself.

When I started storing things I hadn't been picky, but over time I became pickier and pickier about everything. I could still see things lying on the shelves in this warehouse, but they didn't appeal to me at all.

I dusted my hands and looked at the hovering snowflake in front of me.

While we were moving around the world, I learned a lot about the systems, gods, and seedlings. There were things I couldn't ask or Snow couldn't answer, but I think that over the course of my travels through worlds, I will learn everything I want to learn.

I was ready to go now.

"Let's go, Snow" I smiled and said.

In response, Snow hovered on top of my head and a light wrapped around me.

"Initiating time travel...

Entering coordinates...

Successful...

Entering destination date...

Successful...

Opening time warp..."

Snow's voice echoed and bounced on the walls of the warehouse. The light wrapping around me blinded my eyes and then there was darkness.
