What?
Is he not scared?
Did he know the difference between their powers?
Don't get fooled. This guy only acting tough in front of us, to impress girls.
Ha? Impress girls? Does he think with his power, he can impress a girl? Even crazy women would never have an interest in him.
The individual who had approached Quira appeared to be seething with anger as Quira hadn't responded to his query. However, Quira displayed no signs of intimidation.
In his thoughts, the slime was among the weakest creatures, and it could even contend with the lizard creature, which was his newfound ability. Thus, he couldn't fathom how this individual had gathered the confidence to confront him, knowing that he possessed the capability to defeat him swiftly. Additionally, it was evident that he had been publicly embarrassed in front of numerous students.
"What did you say?!" The individual's eyes shifted to a menacing yellow, oozing with lethal intent aimed squarely at Quira. "Do you wish to depart this world promptly? I can grant that wish."
Quira blinked in astonishment, sensing the shift in the surroundings that grew oppressively heavy, making it difficult to breathe. Despite this, he remained composed. "You can attack me; do as you wish."
His confidence wasn't unfounded. To be precise, the students at the Academy were expressly forbidden from engaging in combat with one another. Violating these rules would result in immediate expulsion.
Furthermore, a man in his mid-thirties slowly approached the scene. This was Dane, one of the professors at the Academy and a Rank 3 (Advanced) ranker. He had come upon the area due to sensing the menacing intent.
"What's going on here?" Dane inquired.
The lizard-like individual dispelled the aura that had enveloped him and gave Dane a worried look. "Nothing, Sir! We were simply having a conversation."
"Enough of that; the ceremony is about to commence." Dane pivoted to glance at the platform.
Quira scratched his ear before making his way to the nearest spot at the ceremony. Nevertheless, the students couldn't help but gossip about Quira's newfound ability.
"I fear I may never have a peaceful day here," Quira muttered under his breath.
Indeed, additional professors made their way to the ceremony, and the number of students gathered amounted to approximately 600. Every one of them was a freshman, and the majority possessed distinctive abilities. In fact, the professors found this batch to be particularly intriguing.
Once more, the head of Star Strek Academy, Darin Mor, arrived, donning an aging blue suit. He began by clearing his throat before addressing the assembly.
"Ehem! I extend a warm welcome to all the freshmen who have successfully passed this year's admission. The number of students who made it is larger than I had anticipated, and that is a positive sign." Darin Mor paused momentarily, surveying the assembly of students with promising abilities.
"Furthermore, you are not here for leisure, nor is anyone among you an ordinary student. Each one of you has been selected to train and protect the world from the threat of monsters. Take your time at this Academy seriously, or you will face the consequence of death. Over the course of four years, we will strive to unlock the full potential of your abilities while providing instruction in martial arts."
"Any violations will result in immediate expulsion from the academy. Engaging in combat without our consent is a grave infraction. I understand the desire to test each other's abilities, and you will have proper avenues for that."
"We currently have 5,000 students here, including the freshmen. I'm confident that each of you is familiar with the concept of rankings and dueling, correct? Those who attain special rankings will enjoy various privileges, particularly access to cultivation tools to aid in your growth."
The ranking system at Star Strek Academy was divided into three categories: Normal, Advanced, and Special.
"Regarding duels, they are permitted at our Academy, but there are conditions. Firstly, you cannot challenge someone with a lower ranking. Secondly, the loser must pay the winner in Academy points."
Academy points, the currency used within the Academy for various purchases. Every student started with 10,000 Academy points, with the potential to increase their balance. Additionally, they could exchange these points for credits, enabling them to use them beyond the academy grounds. This privilege was among the benefits of attending the Ranker Academy, allowing students to earn money while they trained or studied.
"You will be delving into the study of monsters, items, and martial arts during your time here. More details will be provided by your respective homeroom practitioners. I eagerly anticipate your successes. Once again, I extend a warm welcome to all of you as you embark on your journey at Star Strek Academy!" Darin Mor concluded with these words.
Darin was on the verge of departing, but he halted, a sudden recollection prompting him to add one more remark.
"Oh, I almost forgot. Don't die."
This statement didn't come as a surprise, given the reports of students meeting their demise during rigorous training or struggling to control monster DNA. It had been established that if a student died solely due to these circumstances, the Star Strek Academy bore no responsibility. However, if a student met their end at the hands of another student, practitioner, or monsters, the Academy would assume responsibility for the incident.
The path to becoming a ranker was synonymous with the prospect of death, making it clear that rigorous training lay ahead.
Before long, all the students were dismissed and dispersed to their respective rooms.

Quira made his way straight to room 1-D. For his batch, there were 9 sections, labeled A to I, each accommodating 22 students. However, the assignment to these sections was entirely random.
How unlucky...
A sigh of disappointment escaped his lips as it appeared that life wasn't making things easy for him. How was it possible that not only the Lizard guy but also Ridge and his companions ended up in the same room as him? Misfortune seemed to have its grip on him at the moment.
The Lizard Guy's true name was Vlain, hailing from a wealthy and renowned family. His father held numerous influential connections.
Quira accepted his current situation for what it was and decided to move forward. There were 10 boys and 12 girls in the room, with all the women possessing their own unique allure. However, one woman, in particular, captured Quira's attention – Alexa, the one with the Dragon ability.
All the boys in the room couldn't help but fixate on Alexa, their gazes filled with desire. How could they not? She was a picture of perfection, boasting a beautiful face and an enviable physique. Her extraordinary ability only added to her allure.
"I'll do whatever it takes to have her."
But then frustration struck.
"Damn it! I was just looking at her, but I can feel this intense heat building up inside me. I need to get rid of this."
Among the boys, some admired her, while others felt an overwhelming lust toward her. It was human nature, a feeling many of them couldn't accept. Even though all they could see was the faint outline of Alexa's underwear through her pants, their minds wandered into the realm of the unimaginable.
"We're not finished yet," Vlain and Ridge chimed in simultaneously.
Quira didn't pay too much heed to their words. In his mind, as long as they were all within the Academy, no one could control him. The students continued to acquaint themselves, exchanging names and detailing the abilities they possessed. Their conversations ceased when their homeroom practitioner arrived.
She was a woman with dark eyes, jet-black curly hair, wearing glasses, a mini skirt, and revealing attire that exposed her cleavage. A cursory glance suggested she was likely in her late twenties.
"I'm Sophia Fax, and I've been your homeroom practitioner for a full year in this Academy," she began. "I have one rule: If you don't want to learn, the door is open, and you can freely leave."
The students in the room greeted Sophia with cheerful tones, clearly taken by her presence.
"So beautiful."
"She's so young? I wonder what her current rank is."
"This is getting interesting."
"I don't like wasting time," Sophia continued, "but before we proceed, it would be beneficial for you to get to know each other, considering you'll be seeing each other's faces for the next four years. Tell us about yourself, why you aspire to become a ranker, and describe your ability. We'll start with you." She pointed her index finger at the woman in front of her.
A young woman with short brown hair, yellow eyes, an attractive figure, and a height of 5'6" rose to her feet. "My name is Diana Trea, 17 years old. The reason I aspire to become a ranker is to save people and prevent the portal from appearing. My ability is derived from the Black Cat."
Following her, other students took their turns, introducing themselves and sharing what had motivated them to pursue ranker status.
"I'm Alexa Grand, and I possess the ability of a Dragon," Alexa declared, manifesting magical power in her hand. "My sole objective is to become the number one ranker. That's it."
Quira, seated beside Alexa, stood up. "I'm Quira Finley. The reason I'm here is for money." He didn't pay much attention to the disapproving expressions some of his classmates wore. "And my ability is a slime."
"Slime?" Sophia questioned, seemingly intrigued.
