After the recent horrific incident in Merlin town, the anarchy in the city grew even more tense. Rumors about a new deadly serial killer known as the Crow bar killer spread round the city. It was said that he only preyed on mostly females and children. Because of that, the streets were intoxicated with fear. There'd been six cases already and all linked to the same kill pattern.
Lia rubbed her eyes while yawning weakly as she went through the pile of case files on her desk. She was determined to crack the twisted case, so she decided to work late night shifts, In order to make more progress. But while she was going through the files she heard a sound.
No, it was a scream, a loud one. She quickly reached for her desk and drew out her Glock. Her breathing became unsteady as an eerie silence slowly consumed the atmosphere. She wasn't alone though, usually they'd have a few more cops in the building. Jimmy and Barnes were the only persons she knew were till active at the moment. The rest must've gone home. Yet the ominous silence was starting to give her huge goosebumps.
Suddenly she heard footsteps, as an unknown shadowy figure slowly surfaced through the binds of her office window. Raising her Glock, while trailing the movement of the figure, her hands trembled fearfully as her palms became sweaty. As the figure reached to her door, it hesitantly stood in front of the door and her. An Invasive feeling of anxiety gradually crept into her as she waited patiently in anticipation. And then the door swung open.
"Boo!."
"Oh my gosh. Fuck jimmy, what's wrong with you!?."
"Hahaha. I gotta!." Chuckled the young blonde haired fella as he leaned lazily by the door.
"That wasn't funny jimmy. I almost shot you!" She grumbled as she returned the Glock into her drawer.
"I rather have you kill me, than end up in the hands of some psycho."
"Oh please, don't you start."
"Seriously, I can't imag..."
Thud!. It suddenly echoed, as a huge metal crowbar cracked into his skull and sunk into his brain. As blood slowly trickled down his forehead to his face, his eyes still widely open and filled with horror and shock. With his lips trembling, unable to utter anymore words. He dropped to the floor lifelessly to expose the sudden attacker. A sinistry bold figure, covered in leather and with a pervasive killing aura that made Lia stumble back in fear as she tried reaching for her Glock. But the killer was fast, it swiftly threw it's weapon at her and it lunged into her shoulder. She yelped in pains as she fell to the ground, and while struggling to get up she was pulled up by the hair.
The killer mercilessly dug out it's weapon from her meat, causing a chunk of flesh and blood to spurt out. And despite her all her kicking and punching, it didn't release it's grip on her. Rather it bashed her face severally on the desk as a few littered office pins marred into her face. She groaned in pains as the killer threw her aggressively to the floor and stood in front of her, with it's bloodied crowbar in it's hand.
The first blow left a server crater on her skull as her flesh reshaped into the likeness of a mashed potato. It struck again and this time, more blood splattered as bits of her flesh glued to the metal. It continued the repeated pummeling, as her flesh slowly left her skull and her face gradually turned into a crimson mess.
Then suddenly a sweaty faced blonde haired man suddenly sprang up from his bed, as the once bloodied office slowly transited into his messed up bedroom. It was just a dream, no it was a nightmare. A nightmare of his not so forgotten past. Believe it or not, he was the first living man to survive an attack from the world's biggest serial killer. But will his luck shine long enough for him to see the morrow sunrise. Well that would be left for fate to decide.
