Third person point of view
" I- I think someone is calling for me. I will leave ". The man stood up to leave. " Well... you did want to keep our relationship a secret but now it might go out. What do we do then ? " Aaron asked looking at Cecil and the three of them were horrified. Cecil raised an eyebrow. " I don't know anything ". The woman said and stood up.
" Me too. I didn't see anything ". The other woman said standing up too. " I didn't hear a single thing today ". The man said and the three of them scrammed away. Aaron snickered. Cecil was surprised at the power each word of Aaron's had. " Did they really not say anything to you ? " Aaron asked.
" It doesn't matter ". Cecil replied with a smile. " No. It does ". Aaron said in a serious tone. Cecil looked at Aaron whose face was closer to his. He once again realized how handsome Aaron was. He also realized that Aaron's hold on his waist got a bit tighter. His side got pressed against Aaron more. He clenched his hand which was around Aaron's shoulder.
Aaron looked too sincere. " There is no way I will let them bully or look down on my spouse. And you above that ". Cecil felt his stomach erupt in butterflies. Who asked this guy to be this cool and say those kinds of things in his face with that kind of look ? This was almost a soap opera, but he liked it. Cecil nibbled on the inside of his cheek.
His heart really needs to calm down. " They really didn't say anything. I told them you are my husband and they didn't believe me ". Cecil gave a small pout. Aaron was a little helpless at Cecil's complaint. He didn't know whether to laugh or cry. " Don't sulk now. You were the one who didn't want to make it public ".
Cecil smiled. " Right ". Aaron sighed and gave a smile too. " Am I not heavy ? " Aaron shook his head. " Not really. You should eat more and exercise more so- " Cecil picked up a slice of fruit stuffing it in Aaron's mouth. " Old man, stop nagging ". Aaron munched hard on the fruit, grudgingly. Cecil smiled and looked around.
" Shouldn't you go greet him ? " Cecil said looking at the minister. Aaron also looked in the direction. " I should. Come with me ". Cecil got out of Aaron's lap. Aaron stood up and buttoned up his coat. Cecil smoothed it a little and pulled at the ends making it look neat. Aaron chuckled. " I can't let it go ". Cecil said meaning his designer antics.
Aaron smiled and the both of them went to greet the minister. He smiled and greeted and also congratulated them for the wedding. " How are your parents and grandfather ? " " All good ". " I should visit your grandfather someday ". Aaron smiled. " Hello sir ". They heard a voice and all of them turned in the direction.
It was David and Ethan. The minister gave a hug to David. " Congratulations to you. So lucky I have to say. Both sons are married and settled happily. You are even going to become a grandfather ". David laughed heartily. They chatted for a while and the minister took them to have dinner.
They had it together and spent some time before leaving. Aaron noticed Cecil was quiet during their ride back home and lost in thought. He was just looking out of the window silently. " What happened ? " Cecil came out of his thoughts. He turned to Aaron. " Nothing ". " Want me to look into the people who just bullied you ? " Cecil smiled.
" I told you they didn't ". " Then what is it ? " Cecil sighed. " Let's talk at home ". Aaron nodded. They soon reached home and the both of them went to their rooms. Cecil took a shower and went down. He took two cans of beer and sat in the chair. Aaron walked down and noticed Cecil drinking. He sat down on the other chair.
They just looked at the city in silence until Cecil broke it. " I was wondering about what would happen when both our families find out about all of this ". Aaron didn't have anything to say to that. They did think it was kind of nice when their families interacted so much. But today it suddenly hit them that it was something actually on the down side.
Now that Cecil mentioned it, Aaron also suddenly realized it. A lot of days went by and there wasn't much time till his birthday. It was definitely not going to be as pretty if something does happen later. But he didn't know if he has to let go just like that. He let out a sigh. He picked up the can on the side and opened it.
The both of them sunk into silence again. Aaron took a big gulp. " Do you have anyone you like ? " Aaron asked and Cecil's hand paused midair. For a reason he didn't know, the image that flashed in front of his eyes was Aaron's. He shook his head and took a sip. He gulped down with a little difficulty.
" Do you not see my life ? I barely have time for myself ". He tried his best to sound natural. Aaron nodded. " What about you ? " Aaron smiled at the question. " I wouldn't have married you if I did, would I ? " Cecil chuckled. " Right ". No one said anything and they continued to drink while enjoying the view in front of them.
They both finished a can each. They did drink a little before, so didn't want anymore. Cecil threw the cans away and both of them went to their own rooms. " Good night ". Aaron said standing at his door. " Good night ". Cecil replied with a smile and went to his room. Aaron slept on the bed but couldn't fall asleep.
He was looking at the ceiling seemingly lost in thought. His life right now was probably the most comfortable. It was peaceful and he did seem to enjoy his life so far. He didn't really want to think about the future. He turned on his side and got rid of all the thoughts. He closed his eyes tightly and fell asleep.
