Third person point of view
By the time the both of them realized, it was already the day before their wedding. Cecil had to go to his parents' house as they would all leave together on the wedding day. He took the things he wanted and went home in the morning. Everyone was busy looking after something or the other while Cecil just watched them bustle around.
He ate his snacks watching television leisurely. Ethan sat down with a puff. Cecil turned to him. " All done ? " Ethan nodded. " Take some rest. It isn't a big deal ". " How can you say that ? It is your wedding. Of course I have to make sure everything is perfect. Even though you don't seem to think so ". Cecil turned to the television.
" Not like that ". Ethan chuckled. He ruffled Cecil's hair and his phone rang again. He picked it up and got up leaving the room. Cecil was looking at the screen but his mind was wandering. He wondered if he really wasn't thinking about the marriage as a big deal. For the past few days, he worked on the suits and then he was busy with his own work.
And his family took care of everything else that was concerned with the wedding. So he didn't have time to spare for dwelling over it but he did think of it to an extent. It was going to change parts of his life but not completely. His life was still his. So he wasn't sure about what to think of it. He shook his head and went back to watching whatever was happening on the screen.
The next day, they all went to the venue. Cecil was taken to the room he has for dressing up. He changed into his dress and Lara helped put little makeup on him. After that, he didn't have anything to do. He sat on the chair and waited. He felt a little bored too. His parents were out there greeting the guests. Ethan was somewhere else.
Only Lara was there with him and looked out for him but now even she was also vanishing and reappearing. Cecil really felt 180 degree difference in how he was previously. That day, he was panicking and was on nerve ends which led him to act on impulse. And as a consequence so many other things happened too.
But now he felt rather relaxed. Ethan called for him. Cecil checked his appearance one last time and walked out. Ethan took him to the corridor. " You can enter when the doors open ". Cecil nodded. " Don't be anxious ". Cecil gave a smile and nodded. Ethan left the place. Cecil heard footsteps and saw Aaron walking his way. Aaron stood on his side.
Cecil checked him out. " You look good ". Aaron smiled at the compliment. " Thanks. You do too ". " I know ". Cecil said and both of them laughed. " I guess the credit should go to the one who made the suits ". Aaron said and Cecil nodded. " Not wrong ". They chuckled. " You want to hold my hand ? Or link arms ? " Aaron asked. Cecil thought about it.
" Not as far as linking. You can just let be. I will hold your arm ". Aaron nodded. " How about kiss ? " Cecil asked and turned his head to Aaron. Aaron raised an eyebrow. " Will you really kiss me ? " Cecil asked startled by the thought. Aaron snorted. " Who was the one who previously pounced at me and even said we are already half married ? "
Cecil looked into air. Aaron adjusted his sleeves. " I will. It is not like it is our first time ". Cecil found it somehow weird. It didn't sound right when Aaron said it so nonchalantly. He was about to refute but Aaron continued speaking. " And for lovers getting married, kissing shouldn't be a problem right ? " Cecil didn't say what he wanted.
Aaron was right. It would be almost wrong not to. He swallowed the words and sighed. They heard the doors opening. Cecil held onto Aaron's arm. When the doors opened fully, they walked in. There wasn't a big crowd and even less people than before. The scale of this wedding was also considerably small than the previous one.
There were around 70 people from both sides combined and all of them were family. They all watched in awe as they walked down the aisle. Their dresses were a black and white mirror image and looked beautiful on them. They smiled at the guests as they walked down. The both of them were handsome but standing together they didn't clash at all.
In contrast, they looked pretty compatible. The overall picture looked absolutely stunning. They slowly walked to the altar. The photographer also clicked pictures continuously. They went and stood in front of the priest. They stood with a distance between them. The priest spoke a little and then turned Aaron.
" Do you, Aaron, wish to take, Cecil, as your lawfully wedded husband in the name of god and promise to be with them in all their happiness and hardships and trials in life and promise to support them through everything ? " Aaron replied without any delay. " I do ". The priest then turned to Cecil.
" Do you, Cecil, wish to take, Aaron, as your lawfully wedded husband in the name of god and promise to be with them in all their happiness and hardships and trials in life and promise to support them through everything ? " Cecil gave a small nod. " I do ". He said and the priest said a few more words. They finished their vows.
The both of them turned to face each other and they have to exchange the rings. " Please exchange the rings ". Aaron took the ring from the guy who was some distant cousin. Cecil lifted his hand and Aaron put it on his finger. Cecil then took his from Ethan and put it on for Aaron. " I now pronounce you both as husband and husband ".
The priest announced and the crowd applauded. The moment Cecil dreaded had come by. He was not disgusted or scared, just feeling a bit tense. " You may kiss now ". The both of them looked up and their eyes locked. Aaron moved closer and Cecil also did. Cecil's eyes wavered even though he tried to maintain a poker face.
Aaron saw Cecil who didn't look as willing about kiss making him want to make it interesting just to see Cecil's reaction. He snaked his hand around Cecil's waist and pulled him closer. Cecil put his hands on Aaron's chest and looked up at him in shock. He saw the smile Aaron was giving him and understood he did it very much on purpose.
He glared for a second but quickly schooled his expression. His lips were curved in a smile but his eyes were showing how he was beating up Aaron in his head. Aaron's eyes were filled with amusement. He leaned forward and kissed Cecil. Cecil closed his eyes and kissed back. He could feel Aaron smiling. Aaron kissed harder liking the reaction. Cecil felt himself tremble a little.
His hands clutched Aaron's coat. They pulled away and Cecil gave another glare. But he smiled quickly. Aaron smiled happily. Both of them turned to the crowd and smiled. They all looked happy. Both of their families expressions were filled with joy. The both of them let out a sigh mentally. They crossed one big hill.
