Chapter 17 - Krav Maga

"Yo! I am here!"

The black man waved at Trevor as he got out of his car. He then walked up to Trevor.

"You got the coolest car, bro. I have always dreamed of buying one but can't seem to afford it unless I go hungry for years," Ted said, admiring his brand-new car.

Trevor was so proud. It had been over a month since he became a player within this mysterious system. During that time, he always felt that his life was better. He was now richer and stronger. It's just that sometimes he still didn't realize that because he was so busy with the missions.

It's great to hear compliments sometimes. It boosted his ego again, which once was humiliated about three years ago.

"You can ride it once in a while, Ted. I don't mind." Trevor patted the instructor on the shoulder.

"Are you serious?" Ted looked in disbelief.

"Sure," he replied, raising his eyebrows.

Ted smiled broadly. "I'll take your word for it. Don't regret it later," he challenged.

"I won't." Trevor shrugged his shoulders.

The two men then turned their gaze to the building in front of them. It was located on the outskirts of town, so it took about an hour to drive there. The place looked isolated, but from the people wandering in and the voices heard from inside, it seemed like it was quite occupied.

"So what place is this, Ted?" Trevor asked his gym instructor.

"This is where I've been practicing Krav Maga for the past two years. I think you would fit in here too, Trev," Ted replied. "Have you ever known or heard about it before?"

"I think I have heard of it, but I don't know anything about it. As I said, I was just a geeky guy who only understood the ins and outs of computers in the past. This will be the first time I've seen it in person," said Trevor.

"You're lucky because I brought you here. Don't waste time. Let's go in," said Ted, who led the way for him.

Trevor nodded his head while also looking at the building. He couldn't wait to get inside and learn.

"Let's go."

Krav Maga is a self-defense technique from Israel. It said that various types of martial techniques combined into it.

Krav Maga taught how to defend yourself with flexible and dynamic movements in the shortest possible time. To do this, fighters have to make as strong and aggressive movements as possible by attacking some of the most vital parts of the opponent's body.

Trevor felt that it would suit him. He couldn't wait to learn it.

The moment he entered the studio, dozens of people seemed to have dispersed within. What they do varies; some warm up, practice alone, to do intense duels.

'Wow, I can say that it looks tough. Can I do it?' he muttered while watching one of the duels between two men. He was trembling a little at the thought of taking that hit after another later.

'I am sure you can, sir,' AI T responded.

"Come here. I will take you to the master. He's the owner of this place who always welcomes new members. He will also recommend the best instructors for you." Ted said as he continued to walk ahead of him. "He's on the second floor."

"Yeah, sure."

As he followed Ted climbing the stairs to the second floor, he kept his eye on the people who had been training. An expression of awe mixed with nervousness could not be hidden on his face.

Until something unusual caught his attention. He saw the familiar figure among the others, a girl in a white shirt who was about to start a duel with a man.

"Huh, that girl?" Trevor was shocked enough to stop in his tracks.

'She was the fierce neighbor in your old apartment. The girl who also helped you during the fire. What is she doing here? Is she also practicing Krav Maga?' asked AI T who was also surprised and didn't expect it.

"That's Amanda Claire. Do you know her?" asked Ted, who was also interested in what Trevor had noticed.

"Yeah. I mean, not really. She's just the woman who lives next door to my apartment unit." Trevor answered quickly. "But what is she doing here? Is she also one of the trainees?"

"More than that. She was an Ace here. Despite only joining for about six months, she shows great skills and potential. I heard she was a boxing athlete at the college. She has also mastered several other martial arts like; judo, karate, and Thai boxing. She's a real deal."

"Wow, really?"

Trevor was a little surprised to hear that. Even though he often heard about the girl a little from AI T, he never knew her personally. However, he noticed how tough she was during the fire incident.

But was she really that great?

The duel was seen to begin. Amanda looked ready to face the bald man in front of her. They were even accompanied by a referee.

the battle was played quickly. Trevor wasn't even ready to breathe when the two of them immediately attacked each other with fast movements.

He didn't expect that the woman would immediately use her light body to attack the opponent's neck and head.

With this, unexpectedly, the woman won the match in less than a minute.

"Woah, is she for real?" Trevor even ran out of words.

"Hard to believe, isn't it? Even Mike, the master, thinks so. He said that girl might be one of a kind. She is a GOAT."

Trevor just nodded hearing Ted's explanation, but his gaze was glued to the girl. That was the moment Amanda lifted her face and looked right at him. Trevor couldn't believe his eyes when he saw a strange blue symbol above her head.

"W-What is that?" He whispered in awe.

'Oh, looks like we've found one, sir. I think she's the physical training special agent who will help you improve your skills," said AI T, who sounded equally amazed.

'What?' Trevor was slightly dumbfounded. 'That girl is one of the special agents?'
