Several seals were implanted when the city was just built. Thousands of years ago, after The Great Supernatural War finished and humans won everything. Or so they thought.
The Supernatural kind who felt that they would not win decided to collaborate with their worshipers in the human being faction. And so, some seals were planted in hidden spots inside the city.
Of course, those seals are not only hidden behind piles of earth and stones. But it is also protected and hidden by powerful spells which can make those seals undetectable even if they are only 10 meters from the ground.
The spells can only be activated by Supernaturals who have reached a high level of power. Like Nard, Tigran, and several in the High Council.
Nard himself is not a member of the High Council. He had been offered the position several times but he always refused on the grounds that he hated doing troublesome things.
