After the old man confirmed Svan's identity in his memory, he invited him to enter his shack.
Svan smiled and followed him. The view inside the shack looked the same as he had imagined. Dark, dirty, and cluttered.
But that's not a problem at all. He knew that this Old Man had deliberately put up a front like this so as not to arouse suspicion about what he was doing.
"How is John doing?" the man asked as they were walking in the dark corridor.
"John?" Svan frowned confused about who he was referring to. There were a lot of people named John among the groups of mercenaries working under the Order.
He can't possibly remember them all.
"You don't know John?" the old man glanced briefly. "He is among the ranks of your High Council."
Hearing his words, Svan couldn't help but widen his eyes. He is taken aback by the answer.
"O-Oh, my apologies. I don't know who is in the High Council," Svan replied.
