A shadow lunged at Axel. He was shocked, his eyes widened. But before he realized it the arrow had flown from the bow.
*SWISH!*
The arrow struck at the shadow. That shouldn't have happened because the shadow is not something that has a solid body.
However, what Axel shot was a Mana arrow. From a bow that has been designed to overcome threats in this secret forest.
The arrow threw the shadow back and stuck in a tree trunk.
The shadow also stuck to the tree trunk. It thrashed trying to free itself but to no avail.
"Whoa!" Shoji said. "What is that thing? I've never seen a Supernaturals like that."
"They are called the Shadow Wraith," Axel said.
"How are they different from regular Wraiths?" Rama asked. "Besides the color."
"They're much more dangerous. See? It's not even dead yet."
The Shadow Wraith is still trashing. The arrow's mana started to disappear because it was absorbed by it.
