The room suddenly grew cold. The aura emanating from Zane filled every corner of the room, making it oppressive. Even Yuka, who wasn't the target of his animosity, felt the pressure.
Gary had dared to infiltrate this far into their guild, using his strange abilities to disable all the Hunters in the vicinity. Not only that, he had entered their room without knocking, claiming he wanted something from them. Even though Zane didn't have it, he couldn't let what Gary was doing slide.
"Ugh, as expected of an S-Rank Hunter," Gary said, grimacing as he fought to stay on his feet under the pressure that Zane was emitting.
"Just so you know," Zane said, "I won't let you leave here, even if you beg."
Gary grinned. "I won't be begging. And... I won't leave here without getting the stone."
Gary flicked his hand, and the black scroll fell from his sleeve into his hand.
