I open my eyes to find myself in a bright and sunny meadow. The sky was clear and cloudless, flowers ranging in a rainbow of colors littered the meadow, and the grass was soft and comfortable. As I begin to stand, I faintly hear someone calling my name. I begin walking to try and find this person but all I see is an open meadow. After what felt like an hour of looking for the voice I hear wind rushing past my ear. I turn and find myself standing on the edge of a cliff facing an ocean. I look out toward the water and see a massive wolf like creature falls into the ocean. Across from it, another massive creature that resembles a flaming bird dives down and hovers in front of the wolf. They face off against each other and before they begin their attack, a massive western dragon with a long neck descends into the battle. It gives off a mighty roar and blue electricity jolts out of its body. Its roar causes a thunderstorm to appear and when the shock wave hit me, I was blasted back to reality.
I jolt into a sitting position. When my sanity comes back to me I notice that the villagers are standing around me with axes pointed towards me. I look at them with a questioning gaze and remember that my scale mail ability was still active. I decide to deactivate it and everyone starts to calm down.
I ask in a strained voice, "Where's hiccup?"
I hear an even rhythm of clanks from a metal prosthetic leg and see hiccup walk up to me. He give me a small smile and shows me his peg leg.
I smile apologetically and think, 'So fate really can't be changed.'
I look at hiccup with an apologetic smile and say to toothless, "You just had to get your payback for the tail huh?"
That got an eye roll from toothless and a laugh out of everyone around. We laugh for a good while and when everyone is at ease I get dressed. I leave my house riding darkwing and walk around the village to see if I can help anyone.
When night fell I headed home to grab my my new training weapons to practice, but before I can even get to my house I see someone waiting at my front door. Astrid was there fidgeting nervously.
Before I can say anything she cuts me off, "Meet me at the safe haven."
She then heads back to her house and I shrug it off, not thinking much about it, and head to grab my training weapon. I had decided to go with the ball and chain for my new weapon. When I get to the safe haven, I start my training to pass the time. I try and remember the way Gilgamesh fought with the chains of Enkidu, but I quickly realized that it was a waste of time. The chains of Enkidu is a godly weapon, meaning that it would function differently than a normal weapon. So instead of wasting my time, I decided to create my own style based off of the Asian style of spinning and kicking with the ball portion. A few hours later and I am drenched with sweat, so I decide to take a quick dip in the lake to clean my self up before Astrid gets here. A few minutes pass by and I'm about to get out when I see Astrid jump into the safe haven. When she sees me and blushes before walking toward me. She reaches the waters edge and begins to undress. Out of respect, I turn around and a few seconds later I hear splashing. I hear her walk towards me and when she reaches me she reaches out her hand. She begins to trace the scars on my back and notices a tattoo across my back and arms. Before she can ask about them, I turn and see her eyes full of tears.
