I walk over to the first pedestal that caught my eye. On the left it depicts the first human to ever kill a Greek god and take their divinity. On the right it depicts his exile from those lands after he destroyed the land his move from the Greek pantheon to the Norse pantheon. It also depicts his journey of self forgiveness and his inevitable return to godhood.

I ask the system, "How do I enter the challenge?"

[Host only needs to say the name of the figure shown in the orb and you will be brought to the challenge grounds.]

I nod and say, "Kratos."

A portal of blood red and ice blue appears in front of me. I walk through and I am immediately hit with a cold wind. Me being a Viking it doesn't really affect me much. I look around and see the wooden house of the god of war. I walk up to it and before I knock the front door opens and the man himself appears.

He is a middle-aged man with wrinkles on his face looking to be in his mid to late-50s. His beard covers half his face and has several gray hairs. His skin is still pale and covered with the ashes of his Spartan family, but his tattoos have faded slightly. The scar is larger and less jagged than before due to him stabbing himself. Also from the same wound, he now has a long scar covering almost all of his lower back. He wears black leather pants and shoes, also present are faded scars from where the chains from the blades were attached to his forearms, which he prefers to keep covered beneath fur-lined leather. His face as emotionless as they come.

He says in a calm and cold voice, "Come boy. We must speak."

I follow him inside and I see him sit at the main table. I sit opposite to him and he hands me a mug filled with an intoxicating, sweet smelling, liquid.

I say while looking at Kratos, "I apologize sir but I will have to kindly refuse. I am in Infiniti at territory and anything that fills my senses could also cause my death. Plus, I'm only six. I don't think it wise to drink at my age."

He nods his head and says, "Follow."

Knowing not to ask questions I stand and follow him to the training area behind the house. We arrive at the training field to see Atreus practicing his precision.

Kratos yells out, "Atreus! To me boy!"

Atreus turns and walks toward us. When the boy reaches us I get to see him in better detail. Atreus is an eleven year old boy with red hair and a pale face. Seeing him up close I'm still not sure if his skin tone stemmed from his father's curse passing onto him or from his illness. He has a birthmark on his face resembling the marking his uncle Deimos has, which was suppose to be a sign of greatness. He has light freckling, icy blue eyes, and is dressed in leathers and hides of fur. Atreus wears his father's Greek-patterned loincloth as a sash around his waist and his mother's Jötunn scarf around his neck.

He ignored me in favor of asking his father, "You needed me for something?"

Kratos orders him, "You and this child will have an archery contest. Whoever hits the bullseye on the target the most wins. The winner will get a reward from me."

A system message appears in my vision giving me a legacy challenge quest.

Hearing his father's command Atreus walks to the wooden signs that are at ten foot increments.

Before I leave, I ask Kratos, "Does he know?"

In a quiet yet angry voice he says, "No."

I nod, grab a spare bow, and head over to stand with Atreus. We hear Kratos give the start signal and Atreus quickly notches an arrow and fires, hitting the bullseye. He looks towards me and I lose my own also hitting the bullseye. We step back to the twenty foot mark and both of us hit our bullseye again. We move to the forty foot mark and I feel a slight breeze on my right cheek. We loose our arrows and Atreus' arrow hits, almost unnoticeably, to left of the center. We finally reach the fifty foot mark and I turn to Atreus who is focused on the target.

I warn him, "There's a slight breeze coming from the right."

He ignores me and continues to focus on the target. Before he shoots I notch my arrow. He fires and hits the target, but he misses the bullseye. I steady my focus feel the breeze again. Feeing it, I adjust my aim and fire hitting dead center again.

Kratos says, "The child wins."

He then walks up to Atreus and asks, "Why did you lose?"

Atreus looks down and says, "I got over confident and didn't follow the warning given to me."

With more emphasis, Kratos asks again, "Why did you lose?"

Atreus thinks for a moment and asks, "Because I wasn't observant?"

Kratos says, "Correct. In battle you must always have your senses at their peak. Sight, smell, taste, hearing, and touch. Had you felt the wind like this child you would have followed his warning and hit the center.

After saying this he walks out of the training area and I follow after saying, "You would have won if we continued by the way."

He lowers his head in embarrassment and I head towards Kratos to see him in front of the portal holding a medal with the Greek symbol for war.

He throws it to me and walks back into the house. I catch it and walk through the portal back to the Ragnarök battle field. When I return I see Tyr waiting for me.

He smiles and says, "Nicely done. You did well, but you better hurry though. Time moves faster in the challenges than in Ragnarök."
