"Ava?" Ethan called out, his voice filled with concern, as he spotted the sedated young girl being concealed at the back of the truck.
Although his current position prevented him from seeing her face, Ethan was certain it was Ava. The girl's stature and the clothes she wore were identical to Ava's earlier that morning when he left the house.
Observing in disbelief, Ethan watched as the girl was hidden away at the rear of the truck.
"Damn it!" Ethan cursed under his breath, feeling an immediate urge to rush out from his hiding spot and confront the men, rescuing Ava and the others.
However, he knew such a reckless action would be futile. The guards were undoubtedly alert and strong enough to overpower him. Instead, Ethan had to assess the situation and search for an opportunity to save Ava.
Ethan knew rescuing the others was unlikely. There seemed to be no feasible course of action at that moment, leaving him with only a glimmer of hope to save Ava.
