Chapter 3 - Revenge in Elegance

CHAPTER THREE

She always thought that it was due to work and busyness that has made each other not care too much about the whole thing.

Jackson has always been sending her different types of gift that money could buy and has only asked for a date once…. She once try to bring up a romantic relationship between them but he told her not to rush things till they are married and he was fine waiting for her. "I see, not bad"

Laura left the room with a devilish smile on her face not minding to luck back the door.

She needed to stop letting herself stuck in a bad relationship, she needed to get out of it before it's too late.

It's her fault that she tolerate this relationship at the first place… she really needs to get out of it.

She drives and stop at the Hale's mansion, walking straight in to the house she met her Grandpa at the suffer sipping coffee. "Grandpa, what's going on?" Laura asked sounded like she was in utterly shocked.

Looking up to her, he reply smoothly. "You're not wrong my dear, I have decided that its time for Meredith to take over from where you stop!" Was all he said cursing Laura to gasp in disbelief. "Why?, Because I'm not your legitimate child?" There was simply no trace of warmth in her voice. "You are not far from the truth, but I think we should end it here for now" he said, and Laura was so shocked that she just froze there for awhile. "Grandpa, you have not realize how worthless you are making me feel. It's really amazing that just your few words could just tear me apart inside." Laura was just at the verge of breaking out.

"I'm doing this for your sake and our company as well, so don't bother too much Laura.

You can still work for Meredith if you want!" he said. The family that Laura has always thought and look as a safe place was now the curse of her misfortune.

Laura act as though she did not care about what ever her so called grandpa decision was now. She gave out the impression that this matter does not phrase her at all.

But right inside her she was badly hurt. "Grandpa, I really doubt your intentions, I can't trust your words anymore!" Laura curse. "Don't be mad Laura, I have always loved you as my own.

It's time for what rightfully belongs to Meredith to be given to her" Laura could see the fake pity on his face.

"I am not mad, I'm hurt, there's a difference. So all this year's you have used me as a pun to grow your company!?" Laura asked. Now she has realized why her parents never have time for her.

She has thought it was part of her training to be a good and independent woman and also the heir of the Enterprise.

Everything now make sense. Laura tried to masks her emotion, but some still spill so she needed to do something that can help her for the moment. Although she feels bad for the breakup, but she took it neutral because his love was not all that really matters to her now.

What really break her heart was taking away her dream. All that she has worked for has just disappeared in a thin air.

It's a curious sensation, the sort of pain that goes mercifully beyond her powers and feelings. Her heart is broken, all her hard work has gone in vain. Nothing matters to her anymore, it's the end of her happiness and the beginning of her revenge.

No matter how hurt she was feeling right now, she has the faith that, she will make them all pay and surfer the consequences of their own actions. It might not be today but it will happen eventually. Laura decided to travel and relax her mine for the time being.

She will enjoy being in a different environment for now. This step could lead her to a rapid exhaustion of her budget for this month but she careless.

It was better for her to take her time and make well inform decision. Baba's Val club.

At a certain fashionable club, which was filled with people as if half of the city decided to hang out there tonight.

The music was thumping as the party was full swing. Meredith began making her way in search of Carolyn. Carolyn was already tipsy by the time she found her. "Oh Meredith, how did it go?" she was curious.

"Let's move over to the bar, it's quieter there, so I can tell you all about it" Meredith suggested. "Okay, let's go" obviously, Carolyn won't rest easily until she learns every detail of what has happened to Meredith final date with her sister's boyfriend.

They work over to the bar, it was quieter there. And they were able to here each other without shouting the music and the others at the venue. "You look like hell did something happen?" Carolyn asked.

"Well, I guess the romantic date was more than I predicted" she laughed "So, what happened?" Carolyn asked.

"Laura came there, she met us at it and poor Laura was frustrated" she said.

"My God, Meredith you're so bad" Carolyn tease. "It wasn't really my fault you know?!, She Wasn't invited" Meredith puts on a baby doll face. "Wait, baby wait... did she catch you red handed?

I mean right then and there?" Carolyn could not believe. " Yes, we were really on it. But don't forgot girl we still need to celebrate" Meredith said. "Yeah, let's order some champagnes for your success baby" Carolyn was really happy.

As they both wait for their order to come , Meredith received a text message from her secretary.

It was a business deal offer but George who has invited her to join him at a restaurant to discuss is proposal this evening. "What is it?" Carolyn asked "My secretary sent me an email, saying I have a meeting date with George at ta's restaurant" she explained. "Oh, George the hottie.

You don't needs to be late, Harry quickly go freshen up" Carolyn walked back to the dance floor while Meredith left the club.

At Laura's apartment. Laura took her time to rest through out the afternoon. At evening, she decided to prepare herself for the appointment she has with Mr. George at eight tonight. She was dressed in an elegant one shoulder long sleeve black prom dress with a sexy side split floor level, match with a per of scarpin black heels. Her hair was tied up on a ponytail with a golden neckless on her neck.

Laura's car stop in front of a familiar restaurant. This restaurant was mostly for high class individuals.
