Finally, the decision had been made. Everyone's minds had been read, and now the outcome was taking place. Underneath one of the people in the room's circle area had lit up. The shining light underneath their feet was a clear indicator for all of those that didn't get chosen.
They turned their heads to a single individual, and with all eyes on them, their face started to flush red.
"Me… it was me, I was the one chosen?" Beatrix said, raising her hands and pressing them to her face. She was swinging her head side to side, embarrassed by what everyone had seen. She kept thinking about that moment she was in the shop, and everything that had been seen.
"Well, I can't exactly say I'm surprised," Lince said to himself. "Anyone who's anyone could have seen that she was the only one that truly didn't have anything dark to be shown. I just thought that maybe the test would have been something more than that. Is this truly the only precaution the founder took?"
