Demyan
Even though I knew fairly well that at some point I would need a gasp of air, I could not bring myself to pull away from Ethan. He was my air in that moment and everything I needed to stay alive.
A part of my soul wondered how I had managed to stay away from him for so long. How had I survived half a decade without his real touch? The kind that had your heart fluttering and blood rushing to your face.
I had missed everything about him, from the way he spoke, smiled, laughed and gave me a stern look when I was slightly out of line. He had been my anchor for so long as I exited teenagehood to adulthood. Even though I would have never said it to his face since we broke up, I missed his protection. His caring words after a bad day and the way he never made me feel like a failure.
