I waited by the porch seated on my rocking chair as Belli sat on my lap taking a short nap. She had not fallen asleep in the car and after the lemon meringue she was blabbering about in the car until I even lost track of what we were talking about. The burst of energy had surely knocked her out and wrapped up in my jacket she snuggled against my chest.
I had a cleaning crew raid the house the entire day yesterday and this morning. The fridge was stacked with food and the children's favourite. I had rooms prepared for Eli, Lia and Demyan. Belli was still so used to sleeping with me I was not sure if she would want to share a room with Demyan's children just yet.
