Ethan's eyes fluttered open, his vision adjusting to the dimly lit room. The events of the night before felt distant, as if they were part of a dream that was slowly fading away.
"How did I get here?" He muttered as he remembered what had happened last night. 'Perhaps it was a dream?' He came to this conclusion as he could not remember how he got here.
He turned his head slightly and saw his little sister, Pihu, sleeping peacefully beside him.
Her innocent face, framed by her tousled hair, brought a sense of warmth to his heart.
Gently pushing himself up from the bed, Ethan stretched his tired limbs and let out a yawn.
He couldn't shake off the nagging feeling that something important had happened, but the details eluded him.
He quietly walked over to the window and pulled back the tattered curtains, allowing a sliver of morning light to filter into the room.
As the sunlight touched his face, Ethan tried to piece together the fragments of his memory. His mind felt hazy as if a fog had settled over his recollection of the previous night.
Frustrated by the gaps in his memory, he clenched his fists, willing the missing pieces to surface.
However, the more he strained to remember, the further the memories slipped away like sand slipping through his fingers.
It was as if someone had erased a portion of his memories, leaving him with a disconcerting void.
Unable to shake off the uneasiness, Ethan decided to focus on the present and be grateful for his sister's safety. Perhaps time would bring clarity to the events that eluded him.
Shaking his head, Ethan dismissed the events of the previous night as a vivid dream.
He had experienced similar nightmares before, remnants of the trauma he had endured two years ago. Splashing his face with cold water, he hoped to wash away the lingering unease that clung to him.
Feeling refreshed, Ethan reached for his phone and unlocked it. As the screen came to life, he saw an unknown app 'DeityChat'
He didn't remember downloading an app like this.
"That's weird," He muttered looking at the app icon.
He was about to open the app but realised something, "Did someone hack my phone?"
"Nah, I am broke as hell. What would they even get from hacking my phone?" He was a little hesitant at first but thinking about it thoroughly he decided to open the Unknown app.
App Interference-.

''What a bunch of weirdos? What fairy? Thousand years? Tsk, I should delete this app.''
His finger moved trying to delete the app. "Wait, I shouldn't delete this app," He muttered, seeing them as a source of entertainment.
Besides, he didn't have anything else for entertainment, or did he?
Thinking that, he stopped from deleting the app.
"Good morning, brother," The sweet voice of Pihu ranged through his ears as he turned around to see the still sleepy Pihu.
"The breakfast is ready. Go and wash up then eat," he said to her looking at the time.
It was almost time for his work. He was in a hurry as he dropped Pihu to the neighbour's apartment and headed to his work in a hurry.

As Ethan settled into his seat on the bus, he couldn't help but feel a pang of discomfort as he noticed the curious glances from the other passengers. His scar, a constant reminder of the past, seemed to draw unwanted attention wherever he went.
Hesitant to engage in conversation, Ethan kept his gaze fixed outside the window, watching the cityscape pass by in a blur. He couldn't help but wonder how different his life would be if not for the fateful event that left him marked with the scar.
The bus suddenly stopped making Ethan jolt forward on a high school girl who was sitting beside him.
"AHHHHH!!!" The girl screamed as she saw Ethan's face.
