Sean and his companion had just entered the room in where the meeting is going to be held, everyone quickly hurried up and took their seat.
The room fell silent as John finished his preparations. All eyes turned to Sherlock, the mastermind behind the mission. He stood up from his chair and made his way towards the projector at the front of the room. With a swift motion, he switched it on, and the screen illuminated with images of their missing agent and the details of their upcoming mission.
Sherlock began to speak, his voice steady and commanding. "Ladies and gentlemen, The mission that you are going to embark is going to be a dangerous one ,like i had said before in our last briefing. One of our undercover agents has gone missing, and it is our duty to bring him back safely. Agent Rex will be joining your team as your guardian throughout this operation. He will guide you and intervene whenever he senses danger."
A heavy sigh escaped Sherlock's lips, betraying the weight of the situation. He cast a grave gaze towards Sean, Peter, and Susan, the young members of the team. Walking towards them, he gently patted each of them on the head, his touch both reassuring and protective.
"Please, be careful, kids," Sherlock said, his voice filled with genuine concern. He returned to his seat and directed his attention to John. "I have finished. You can now teleport them to their starting location and give them a final briefing on what to do."
John nodded in acknowledgment and moved towards Agent Rex and the trio of young agents. As he prepared to activate his ability called teleportation , Sean glanced at Sarah, his eyes capturing her worried expression. It tugged at his heart, but he knew he had to be strong for both of them. With a determined smile, he assured Sarah that he would return home safely, waving at her before disappearing from sight.
Sarah watched Sean intently, her face a mix of worry and hope. She responded with a smile, trying to convey her faith in his abilities and their love for each other. "I'll be here waiting," she whispered to herself, the anticipation evident in her voice. She believed in Sean and his friends, knowing they were capable of accomplishing the mission and also remembered his promise to her that he would be extremely careful and he wont let his anger take over him.
In the blink of an eye, Sean and his companions were transported to their designated starting location. As they materialized in an unfamiliar environment, the gravity of their mission settled upon them. They were now on their own, tasked with rescuing a fellow agent and bringing him back to safety.
John approached the group, his voice firm yet supportive. He briefed them on the mission's details, highlighting their objectives and the potential dangers they might encounter. Sean, Peter, and Susan listened attentively, absorbing every word, their determination shining in their eyes.
John then looked towards Agent Rex and said "Please take of the Kids ".
"Yes I will sir " Said Rex .
"I know you won't let them get hurt " Said John before he activated his ability and fades away in a flash.
Agent Rex looked at Peter, Sean, and Susan with a playful smile. "Alright, kids, listen up. The mission is scheduled to commence at 10 PM this evening, and it's currently 4 PM. We have a few hours before then, so I suggest you get some rest. Today is going to be a long day."
Upon hearing Rex's words, Sean, Peter, and Susan nodded in agreement. They understood the importance of being well-rested before embarking on a dangerous mission. The prospect of a little sleep to recover their energy was a welcome one.
Agent Rex led the young agents into a nearby hotel. He went to the front desk to secure a room for their stay. Once the payment was settled, they made their way to the room, eager to find some comfort and rest.
"Finally, a chance to relax," Sean sighed, sinking onto one of the beds. The exhaustion of their previous endeavors had caught up with him, and he longed for a few moments of respite.
Agent Rex stood near the window, his gaze focused on the outside world. He knew the responsibility that rested upon his shoulders. While the kids slept, he would keep watch, ensuring their safety and preparedness for the mission ahead.
"Rest well, my young comrades," Rex whispered to himself, a silent prayer for their success.
Time seemed to pass quickly, and as the clock struck 10 PM, Rex gently shook Sean awake. "Hello, kids. Wake up. It's time for the mission to begin."
Sean's eyes snapped open, and he glanced at the time, his heart racing. It was precisely 10 PM, as planned. He turned his attention to Peter and Susan, still in the grasp of sleep, and began to rouse them from their slumber.
"Come on, guys," Sean urged, shaking their shoulders. "It's time. We need to get ready."
Peter and Susan groggily woke up, their minds slowly catching up to the urgency of the situation. Sean reminded them that they had to be prepared, and they quickly gathered their wits, realizing that time was of the essence.
As they rose from their beds, the young agents retrieved the costumes Peter had teleported for them. Opening the bags, they found black suit overalls and masks to conceal their identities.
"Ew, I hate the color black," Susan grumbled, her face contorting in distaste.
"You'll have to wear the suits," Rex interjected, a hint of amusement in his voice. "Each of these suits is made of nanotech material. They can withstand normal bullets and reduce the damage you receive by 50 percent."
Susan's expression softened slightly as she absorbed Rex's words. She reluctantly slipped into the black suit, still voicing her discontent.
Rex glanced towards Peter and Sean, pleased to see that they had already donned their costumes and masks. However, he couldn't help but shake his head at Susan's reluctance.
"Are you ashamed of changing because there's a boy in the room?" Rex teased, raising an eyebrow.
"No, I'm not!" Susan retorted, her face flushing with embarrassment.
Rex, sensing her discomfort, softened his tone. "You can change in the bathroom if you prefer, Susan. I just wanted to make sure you're comfortable."
Susan hesitated for a moment, her stubbornness warring with her need for privacy. Eventually, she took the costume and retreated to the bathroom, locking the door behind her.
Meanwhile, Sean and Peter made their final preparations, adjusting their masks and checking their gear. They shared an understanding glance, knowing that the mission was about to begin. Excitement and determination filled the air, overshadowing any fatigue or uncertainty they might have felt.
As Susan emerged from the bathroom, her attire now in place, she cast a sheepish look towards Rex. "Sorry about that."
Rex offered her a reassuring smile. "No need to apologize. We all have our moments. Let's focus on the mission now."
With their costumes on, the young agents felt a surge of confidence. They were ready to face the challenges that lay ahead, relying on their training and the trust they had developed within their team.
As they left the hotel room, the air crackled with anticipation. The mission awaited, and Sean, Peter, Susan, and Agent Rex were determined to succeed.
