After all 7 of them got the concept of the annointment ceremony, they had to be measured by Noble dressmakers to make their robes that they are meant to wear up to the altar and offer their thank you prayers to the gods for blessing them with the opportunity to become guardians.
Laurance had described the ceremonial robes as a long light blue robe with gold accents in the ends of the robe and sleeves, accompanied with a dark blue cape with gold accents, a golden star brooch completing their outfit. Each Guardian will be wearing a golden wreath on top of their heads, and if they have any, they may wear gold accessories to accompany their outfit.
It may seem like such a simple garment to make but there is a specific process each garment has to go through to make it fit to be worn for the ceremony, so when it came to the actual ceremony, everyone had worn their robe, hair is to be let down if your hair is long.
So Amanda and Ziana who had their usually hair up, down for the ceremony.
Marie stood next to them in a long white dress, with long sleeves that end with ribbons on her wrists, she had silver earrings and black heels on.
"All of you had done such a great job with your studies and training, it is now time to offer your thank you prayers to the gods for blessing you and giving you this opportunity. " she says, smiling at all of them, "All of you will do so much great things in the future. " she finishes with a bow, all 7 of them waiting in silence before bowing to Marie after she fully stood up.
Beyond the large gold doors they stood in front of, was the King, along with his entire family, The entire nobility, the former Guardians and the High Priest and Saint to officiate the ceremony.
The nobility and High Priest and Saint bowed when the Guardians entered the room, except the Royal Family, but the King gave them a nod of acknowledgement, there next to the Empress were her young sons, both clinging onto some part of her dress, and next to them was the Consort and her only daughter, while Consort looked away and his her lower face, the Princess smiled warmly at them all, giving them a nod.
When the ceremony started, all 7 of the Guardians stood at the front of the altar with the High Priest in front of them.
To put it simply, the ceremony starts by having the High Priest read an old scripture, passed down from generation to generation, it is entrusted to the appointed Guardians for them to keep safe for the next Star ceremony.
Then after that, the Saint stands above them and prays for them, wishing for a beautiful future with the newly appointed Guardians, after, the Guardians are to kiss the Saint's hand.
It was standard procedure, it didn't truly mean anything deep, the Saint is for the People, while the Guardians are for the Kingdom.
They work together to serve and protect, but at the same time the Guardians obviously hold a higher position of that a Saint.
So to conclude the ceremony, the previous Guardians enter the room and replace the Golden wreaths at the top of their heads(the new Guardians) and place a golden headpiece on to each of them, but since they lacked one, because there was only meant to be 6 Guardians, Laurance was bestowed a different headpiece, it looked the same but it had a jewel, most likely a mermaid's tear.
With this, the Guardians bestow a new blessing onto the Royal Family for a long and prosperous reign.
With this, the 7 Guardians are officially acknowledged, not by the people but by the Kingdom, they will now have to throw their old lives away in order for them to continue assuming their role as proper Guardians.
The Saint Arabella closes her eyes as she feels her head throb, she's never felt this way before, becoming a Saint had made her immune to any minor inconvenience she may have with the human body, things as getting sick and minor headaches, she feels as though the gods are screaming at her as a warning, but their words seemed to be intangible to the point that their loud voices are all she could hear, no words, no nothing.
It was as if something from the outside is blocking the communication between her and the gods so they may warn her for the future dangers that may come.
...
After that, a banquet will be held, but because the Saint had so much work to do at the temple, she had to return early, of course not without saying goodbye to the Royal Family and Guardians.
With the High Priest, she enters her carriage and embarks to her trip back to the temple.
"Are you okay your Holiness? You don't look so well.. " The Saint's intendant asks in worry, "I just have a headache.. Nothing to worry about. " she says, trying to relieve the throbbing pain on her head, she's never felt a headache like this before, and if it's this severe, her gut is telling her that whatever the future foretolds it might lead to the destruction and downfall of the Kingdom.
She may only hope that the Guardians will be able to resolve this issue if the time does ever come, if not, then may the gods have mercy on them all.
"You look very nice with the Guardians headpiece your Highness. " Says Ziana in a quiet voice, during the banquet, the children of the King approached the Guardians, never having witnessed an annointment ceremony before.
"If I'm not a Prince, then I'd want to be a Guardian! " Exclaimed Prince Francis, the eldest son of the King who is currently 12 years old.
While Prince Aaron was talking to Elise, probably about smart people stuff, Aaron is 8 years old.
And lastly was Princess Avery who was 14 years old, the illegitimate child of the King, and was listening to Beck about his time at noble parties.
You could say she wasn't treated as nicely as the Prince's were, but because she didn't have a bad relationship with her Father, she wasn't treated badly as well, she just wishes to be treated as an equal to her brothers because she was a Royal too.
Everything was going good so far, everyone was happy.
And everyone was safe.
