Keiran and Luna walked inside of the castle through one of the hidden entrances around the back. It was like a dungeon with a heavy metal gate that was open using their finger prints. As they entered the castle without any hitch they removed their cloaks revealing their figures dressed in casual clothing.
Keiran was wearing a beige loose t-shirt along with black cargo pants. Luna on the other hand was wearing a peach crop top along with a pair of black jeans. Discarding their clocks both the twins made their way towards their room.
Arriving in front of their room, they opened the gate only to see a red haired woman sitting on the couch inside their room. The finished tea cup placed on the table in front of her indicated she had been here for quite some time waiting for them.
"Where did you go? That too without informing anyone."
She spoke as she flipped through a magazine in her hand. The twins after their momentary shock entered the room. Making their way towards the woman, they sat on the other side of the table.
" We went to the arena."
Keiran never liked lying to his loved ones, it was the same for Luna which is why he decided to tell her the truth.
His reply paused her moments and she moved her gaze from the magazine in her hand to look at the boy in front of her.
She asked in a voice filled with concern. Her care for them warmed their hearts , it was like a reminder to them that they were not alone in this world.
"Why did you go there? Didn't you say you both were uncomfortable going there?"
"Yeah we still hate that place but we needed to check something. Which is why we went there. We left as soon as we got what we needed, so no need to worry about it."
Luna assured her that they were fine. Hearing her words Seraphina sighed and decided not to ask about what they were doing in that place.
Looking at her complicated expression Keiran decided to change the topic.
"Seraphina, I know you can not tell us about your past but can you tell us about him."
Seraphina immediately understood who Keiran was talking about. She was curious about his sudden interest in the topic.
"Why the sudden interest ? You never cared about it till now, so why so suddenly?"
She asked while placing the magazine back on the table looking in his white eyes.
"I just want to understand what he went through, when he was young and how he created this kingdom. There were no records about the details of the process and even most of the process written is fictional."
With a sigh Keiran spoke while leaning back on the back of the chair. There was one more reason that he did not tell her.
'I want to know everything so that I can use even the smallest details of the details I can gain from this to prepare for the future.'
Sepahina closed her eyes contemplating whether or not she should tell them everything and she decided to tell them the minor details of his journey. After a few seconds she opened her eyes and started speaking.
"As you know earth was not always like this, people used to live without ether before in peace but then a meteorite struck our planet destroying most of the things in its wake. Humanity was on the brink of extinction leaving around a few million of humans but then it happened-
As she started going into detail the twins started to understand what truly happened during that time.
In the absence of functioning laws and any authoritative presence, people descended into a frenzied state of lawlessness. Crime ran rampant as fear lost its grip, giving way to unbridled greed and unchecked lust.
Humans did everything their hearts wanted. Killing, maiming, raping and several other crimes became a day-to-day life story.
Society became more adapted to this life setting; people became numb to everything. Killing became a fun game, some even went as far as eating their flesh to mark their victory.
The drive to survive consumed humanity to the point where some individuals even crossed their moral boundaries. They resorted to sacrificing children, forcing them into a life of slavery, all in exchange for necessities like food or money.
In the midst of a world cast into shadow by despair and uncertainty, a glimmer of hope emerged, like a beacon cutting through the darkness.
A mysterious energy named "Ether." emerged.
This energy, previously unknown to humanity, held within it the potential to alter the course of their dwindling existence.
But as they say where there is light, shadows follow along with it.
A dark undercurrent emerged as some individuals sought to amass power at any cost.
They resorted to a chilling strategy—collecting children, both awakened and unawakened, in their relentless pursuit of dominance over all. They wanted to experiment on these children and make an army of awakened people.
These nefarious individuals conducted horrifying experiments on the innocent young souls in their grasp, driven by the insatiable hunger for power.
As the time went by Children started to mature early with the burden of the world resting on their tiny shoulders. They had to fend them off from the people of this organization.
Just like them was a boy who was being pulled by his parents towards a cloaked man. Today was the child's tenth birthday. Amidst the boy's screams, his mother willingly handed her son to the unknown man.
Seeing the money they were given by the man in exchange for their child, the father felt elated. He turned towards the boy's mother and asked
"Do you think we should create a few more kids, haha"
Hearing his words, the mother's eyes sparkled, and they both laughed like maniacs.
"I will call my boyfriends and we can all do it at the same time. With them we would have more chances of having a baby."
Upon hearing those words, something inside the child shattered, and he began to scream.
His cries drew the attention of the trio, and the eyes of the boy's parents widened in horror as they witnessed their child glowing.
It suddenly dawned on them—their child had awakened.
Now, they feared for their safety. What if he decided to seek revenge?
However, the cloaked man began to laugh, seemingly pleased by the situation. The boy's aura gradually subsided as he regarded the trio with cold, calculating eyes. He had gained a basic understanding of his newfound ability, just like the others, but he knew that he would have to further analyze and develop it himself.
"Surrender boy, you just awakened your powers and It is no match or me who is already level 2 soldier"
As the man saw the boy walking toward them, his hands glowing with newfound power. The laughter of the cloaked man subsided, and he issued a warning to the boy, cautioning him not to attack or face dire consequences.
The boy, however, paid no heed to his words and continued to step forward.
