In the morning the twins were already fighting against each other as they waited for Seraphina, clashing their swords against each other whilst exchanging some insights.
' She is late today. Do you think something happened?' Keiran was about to respond to her question but he saw a familiar aura coming towards them.
Luna also felt the aura and looked towards the same direction and saw Seraphina coming along with Aiden.
It did not take any longer before the duo arrived in front of them.
" Today, he will be joining us as well."
Seraphina declared as she gave him the bracelet as well. Wearing them made the boy's expression change instantly as he looked at the twins wearing the same without any change in expression with a complicated look.
"Why don't we use the real weights instead of them?"
Keiran asked while looking at the boy's hand. He has been wondering why go for fake weights when real ones will have more effects on their body.
"It is because you are only children right now and your muscles can not handle the strain of the real weights while these rings can help you get accustomed to the real thing."
Seraphina replied while she brought a seat from the sidelines and sat on top of it. Her words made sense to the twins but her action confused them as they thought she would be training them again like yesterday.
Her next words enlightened them what they will be doing today.
"First start running around this area until you can not anymore." Hearing her words Luna and Aiden's expression changed while Keiran had already started moving.
Luna, watching Keiran, followed behind him not before shooting an ugly look towards the woman who was simply relaxing on the chair.
"What are you waiting for? Isn't this what you always wanted? Move your ass now."
'How bad can it be, let's do it.'
With that thought Aiden started jogging behind the twins. Beforelong, twenty minutes passed and the he was having difficulty to follow behind his big brother who was walking steadily along with his twin sister.
Looking at their figures, memories of the past surfaced where he was always left behind by the twins and his heart ached at the scene.
' Why…why can't I follow you? You always leave me alone. I will not give up.'
With his newfound determination, Aiden got a hold of himself and his steps gained stability. While he was focusing on his steps two figures were smiling warmly at this sight.
Keiran moved his gaze forward and his sweat drenched face still retained a small smile. Luna just snorted at him.
Seraphina, seeing the determined gaze of her son, smiled and closed her eyes. She started to train herself as well as she moved ether through her body.
After some time everyone had already slowed down due to exhaustion and Aiden's steps faltered making him trip. Before he could hit the ground a pair of steady arms held him.
Aiden looked up and saw the warm and worried gaze of his big brother and a small smile grazed his face and he fainted on the spot.
Sighing, he carried the boy on his back and made his way towards Seraphina who was still deep in her training.
Sensing someone coming in her direction she opened her eyes and looked at the satisfied smile on the face of her son and sighed.
"Lay him under the shade and you both swing your swords a hundred times."
Following her words Keiran laid his little brother on the ground and walked towards the stand where he picked up the swords from yesterday, he saw that his sword was placed a little differently from the way he left it.
Then he looked at the sword Luna, it was still in the same position she left it yesterday.
After scanning the swords carefully, he found nothing. Shrugging he picked it up and walked towards a more open area with Luna.
They took a stance and started swinging the sword with moderate force behind their swings.
Looking at the sword in Keiran's hand Seraphina remembered the sight she witnessed yesterday.
- Flashback -
While following behind her son, she saw him walk out of the castle, she was concerned at first but then her expression changed when she saw her son walking towards the training area.
Hiding her presence behind one of the pillars she saw him looking at the swords and picking up the sword Keiran used in the morning.
He started copying the moves Keiran displayed in his swordplay and fell many times but he got up and preserved.
Standing there Seraphina cried silently at the painful face her son was showing but she did not let a single voice leave her face, nor did she go there to help him up.
She knew very well that she could not always be there for him. She did the only thing she could do at that time and watched her son try again and again.
She stood there watching over him till it was almost the time for morning. Seeing the time the boy hurriedly placed the sword back and made his way back towards the castle.
Silently she arrived in the room first and slept on her bed. After a few minutes the boy took the place beside her and fell asleep because of the tired state of his body.
- Flashback Ends -
An hour passed by and the twins were now lying on the ground drenched in their sweat unable to lift a single finger.
They moved from one exercise to another until they collapsed on the ground.
"That was tiring, I feel like I will sleep anytime." Keiran spoke and he chuckled when he saw the look on Luna's face as she looked at Seraphina.
If looks could kill, Seraphina might have died many times over.
" That's it for today. Rest for an hour and then practice your ether control."
As if Seraphina's words were a trigger that the twins fell asleep as soon as they heard them. With a warm smile on her face sat beside the twins and helped them lay down properly.
"You have worked very hard my children, rest well. You deserve it."
She caressed their head while looking at the distant sky.
