Erla moved her eyes through her kids and then looked at Seraphina and then Aiden who was hugging her arms.
She looked at their figure for a second and then left the room without saying anything.
No one knew what was going on in her mind but one thing was clear, she had dropped all of her masks and the cold look on her face was now undisguised.
Seraphina looked at her son and caressed her head. Seeing him look in her eyes " can you go to your room first? I'll be back after talking with your brother and sister a little."
Aiden wanted to speak but the look in his mother's eyes made him swallow his words. Nodding he left the room after casting a side glance at the twins.
"Why did you stop me from interfering?" Seeing that Aiden had left the room she turned to the twins and asked with an annoyed voice.
She wanted to intervene in between and make sure that they do not face such a situation but in the middle she saw the boy looking at her while shaking his head indicating not to be involved.
In the start too he had interjected her talk when was arguing with Arion.
Hearing her question the twins looked at each other and sighed.
'Should we tell her?' Luna asked in a worry filled voice, she wanted to tell the woman the truth but she did not want to go against her brother's plans.
' It's fine. We will tell her. We might have to expose some of our secrets but since it's her. I think it's fine.' Keiran replied, understanding her inner predicament.
" Let's go to our room, This is not the place to talk." Keiran spoke out loud while looking in the corner of the room.
The red head's eyes narrowed as she looked in the corner in understanding. Hiding the shock on her face under calm gaze she nodded and followed the twins out of the room.
When they left the room from the corner they were looking at, the shadow materialized and The shadow 1 who was called out by the king came out while his forehead was dripping in sweat under the mask.
" How did he sense me?I need to tell this to the king. " His figure disappeared in the shadows and silence returned to the room.
The trio arrived in the twin's room as they took their seats on the seats arranged in the room.
Seraphina broke the silence by speaking first as she looked at the kids in astonishment.
"How did you sense him? Even I missed his presence unless you told me and I have been through so many battles to hone those instincts."
Keiran looked at her before speaking " What I am about to tell is what we have kept secret from everyone. So I hope you too can keep it that way."
Hearing the serious tone in the words of the boy in front of her she nodded without any hesitation and her heart was beating in anticipation.
" Since our birth. No! Even before that, when we were in Erla's Womb, we were able to hear the things from inside and as the time went by we started to understand what they were saying and gained basic understanding of language."
This revelation shocked the woman to the core, she had never heard of someone being this much of a genius and before she could ask something The other twin continued.
" We can also see the aura of the people that show us the real nature of them. Whether they are genuine or hiding something from us. We can see how deeply rotten they are to the core." Luna was like a bomb that had been suddenly dropped in Seraphina's mind as she looked at the twins in undisguised shock and horror.
Now everything made sense to her, why they were able to sense that man, why she alway felt that she is being seen through in front of the kids.
Everything that has happened till now became clearer to her.
" Everyone we have ever met was always trying to use us in one way or another. They are either approaching us for their own self interest and schemes or they just wanted to get to know the prince and the princess." Keiran sighed after speaking those words and continued " even our so-called Mother and Father were the same."
Keiran's words made Seraphina look at the twins with hurt and worry.
" Through these ten years we saw through many of her attempts to become closer to us so that she can use us to gain more power. Arion wants to use us to solidify his own power and rule over the kingdom. He has been long anticipating the marriage proposal from the smith. He saw through their intentions when the smiths first showed interest in Luna when we were five years old."
She could not fathom how it would feel when you will see people trying to use you everywhere and what is worse is that they were aware of it from the day they were born.
Silence dawned in the room as Seraphina was deep in her thoughts until a voice pulled her out of her thoughts.
" You know, you were more of a mother to us than Erla ever was." Luna's words made the woman's heart tremble as a lone tear escaped her eyes.
She stood up from her seat and enveloped the twins in a tight hug.
" I am sorry, I was not there for you two when you needed me and now you have to suffer in that place. I will make sure you don't have to go to that arena."
Seraphina spoke those words with resolution and conviction but she was held back by the twins who looked at her with worry and they spoke at the same time with worry evident on their face.
" Don't go there. This is why we stopped you before too. It is because you will die"
