Chapter 75 - Chapter 70: Entertainment, Not As A Threat...

Seeing the enemies were about to escape using one of their men's soil magic, Charlotte tried to catch them using her briar magic.

But before the plant vines could reach the enemies, they sank into the ground.

"Briar Magic: Mana Sense."

Noticing the enemy had succeeded in using their escape plan by sinking into the ground, Charlotte tried to find their trace, but she couldn't sense them.

"____"

'That old hag can even hide from my senses.'

Looking at the ground where the enemies had sunk, Charlotte's eyes narrowed, a hint of surprise flashing across them.

When it came to detecting underground movement, she was one of the best sensors, but now the old woman who used soil magic had successfully escaped from her senses.

Spit~

"Cowards... Having the same face as that old hag doesn't make you both the same."

Mereoleona, seeing the enemy had succeeded in escaping from Charlotte's sensory skill, spat on the ground in disgust and roared angrily.

For some reason, after Seraphina introduced herself as her sensei Theresa's twin sister,

Mereoleona felt immense anger toward her.

Even though she hated her sensei for the bullying she endured during training alongside her brother,

Theresa was still one of the people Mereoleona had immense respect for because of her dedication as a Magic Knight during her time and the belief she instilled in them.

Now, seeing someone who had the same face as her sensei and was a member of a terrorist organization made Mereoleona's blood pressure soar.

At the outskirts of the Chillbound Wildwoods, the soil in the ground started to bubble.

After a few bubbles, three figures slowly emerged from the ground—they were none other than Seraphina and her two accomplices.

Sigh~

"That fiery woman is a monster."

The old woman, who was the user of soil magic, sighed in defeat, recalling the menacing-looking Mereoleona, who was among the group they had just battled.

"____"

Spit~

"Even her students inherited her character."

With a gloomy look on her face, Seraphina commented on the way Mereoleona had reacted toward her, a grim expression accompanying her words.

If this had been a serious mission, there was a high chance they might have lost someone among them if they had truly arrived with the intention of assassinating the king.

They hadn't even managed to meet the king and were defeated by these Magic Knights who seemed to be guarding him.

'All we hope is that they succeed.'

That was the only thought in their minds as they considered how the forces on the king's side had responded immediately, as if they had already known about their plan.

All three of them felt a bad premonition lingering in their hearts.

Sigh~

"Let's go... before they track us down. We've already completed our assigned task. Now, it's all up to them."

With a helpless sigh, the older woman who had used soil magic to rescue the old man and Seraphina from their previous confrontation at the Chillbound Wildwoods gave her opinion, breaking the silence.

Nodding their heads in understanding, all three of them began moving again, heading deeper into the woods in another direction to avoid any reinforcements that might arrive for the king.

"____"

After a few minutes, they suddenly found themselves in a strange place surrounded by a pink mist.

Within a blink, they found themselves floating in a space filled with odd things, which left them confused and alert.

"Where are we?"

The old man, who had recovered, looked around in vigilance, asking his companions, who were also floating beside him.

"Don't know. It seems like we are trapped in some kind of space or an illusion."

Looking around, they saw floating candy, boots, trees, fruits, books, plates, a yellow duck toy, a teddy bear, a plate, and many more strange objects.

"We can still use our power."

Condensing mana in her hand to form a water ball, Seraphina narrowed her eyes and confirmed that they could still use magic.

Hehe~

"Welcome to my dream world."

Suddenly, their conversation was interrupted by a cheerful voice, which made their eyes widen in shock as they turned to see who it was.

But they couldn't see anyone—only a treasure box full of colorful candies.

"Who is it? Come before us!"

The old man, feeling irritated that they seemed to be trapped, tried to provoke the enemy with words in hopes of forcing them into a mistake they could exploit to break free.

Uh~

"Don't be a stinky old guy."

Hearing the old man's irritation, the voice, with a mocking pout, spoke from all directions—it was Dorothy's voice.

"____"

"____"

"____"

Noticing they couldn't find the owner of the voice, all three of them formed a triangle formation, their backs facing each other.

"Here… here… look up."

With a playful tone, the voice directed them to look up.

"Damn, it's the Coral Peacock captain!"

Seeing it was Dorothy, sitting in a cushioned chair and smiling down at them, they immediately recognized her.

But Seraphina could clearly see that Dorothy was not taking them seriously.

She was viewing them like some kind of entertainment, not as a threat.

"____"

Not only her—others too could see that Dorothy was regarding them like some higher being viewing a mere ant struggling within her palm.

"Don't look down on us! Even though you have trapped us in this space, we are three, and you have no allies. We will outnumber you!"

Sneer~

Feeling severely underestimated by the young girl before him, the old man's temper flared to the point where, in the dream world, huge streams of smoke began pouring out of his ears, boosting his anger even further.

With a sneer, he pointed at Dorothy and roared in anger, gritting his teeth.

Fufu~

"To handle all three of you, I don't even need to lift a finger."

While covering her mouth with her hand, she laughed.

Suddenly, her playful demeanor turned into one of mockery.

With her lips curved slightly upwards and her gaze cold, Dorothy declared.

"Water Magic: Aqua Dash."

Immediately, not wasting any time, Seraphina jumped toward Dorothy, casting a spell.

Her grimoire hovered beside her, its pages flipping rapidly until stopping at the one containing the spell she had cast.

In an instant, mana covered her body, transforming into a water jet that dashed toward Dorothy.

Puff~

Just when the Aqua Dash hit Dorothy, a puff of smoke burst from the spot.

Party paper flew everywhere, like some kind of party popper explosion.

Suddenly, a huge yellow duck hit her, sending her flying through the space and crashing into a huge plate containing a piece of cheese.

"Seraphina!!!"

"Seraphina!!!"

Seeing this, both the old man and the old woman, who were Seraphina's accomplices, tried to intervene.

"Where do you think you're going?"

Suddenly, an identical image of the old man appeared before him and attacked him using his own move, catching him off guard.

"First, you need to face us."

Similarly, an old woman identical to the real one appeared before her and used the same magic—soil magic—to attack the old woman.

The old woman retreated from the clone of herself and eyed it vigilantly.

Clover Kingdom's Prison...

Kira Sekke...

A huge fight was going on outside the prison walls.

The battle was between the Green Mantis, who were responsible for guarding the prison,

and the aid of two captains—Yami from the Black Bulls and Rill from Aqua Deer—along with Green Mantis Captain Jack the Ripper, against 150 members of the Liberators, led by three elders.

"Damn... how did they find out about our plan?"

Seeing their force of 150 members being pushed back and wounded by one of Jack's slashes, wiping the blood from his mouth, Gandalf took a few steps back and cursed, gritting his teeth.

He used his sealing magic to seal the pain and blood loss, immediately retreating as a group of men from the Liberator army took the blow from Jack, sacrificing themselves.

Even though Gandalf managed to escape from being cut in half, he still suffered a deep wound on his chest and face.

Unlike him, the soldiers who blocked Jack's path were not as fortunate.

While McGonagall's transformation magic was nullified by Rill's painting magic, they were being pushed back.

The situation was getting worse for the Liberator side, as they were being dominated on the battlefield.

"Dumbledore! We need to leave... we're losing the battle."

Unable to take any more, Gandalf roared loudly while moving towards Dumbledore.

"Yes, we need to."

McGonagall, who was battling Rill, turned and expressed her approval of Gandalf's decision.

Even though she hated him, she could clearly see they were the ones losing, so she too, thinking it was the right decision, agreed to abandon the battle and escape.
