"Huband, are you already asleep?"
"Hey, little brother, wake up. You have a lot of answering to do."
"Um, I think we shouldn't disturb him. He looked very tired by the time the party had ended."
I heard the hushed whispers among three girls, debating whether I was asleep or not.
Well, I wasn't. I had already woken up by the time they had tried to enter my room stealthily. I was just lying in wait to see what these girls would do to me now.
The last time, in a similar situation, they had woken me up in the most wonderful of ways. And so, I was hopeful that I would get another such wake-up call once again.
"Liliya, you are too innocent. This guy here is just pretending to be asleep to escape from our interrogation. See how I thwart his acting."
Though surprised by hearing Laila's voice, I kept pretending to be asleep, waiting for her next move.
