Unlike the usual tradition of sects and residences being built on a higher ground, all the halls and pavilions of the 'Celestial Yin Sect' were built in the depths of a large crater.
And so, after passing through the sect gate, the three of us had to climb down a flight of stairs built on the crater's peripheral walls.
Until then, we hadn't met any other person, let alone a member of the sect. Even after looking at the buildings, I found no one in sight.
After climbing down the staircase, the path led to a pink portal beside which was a small metal platform. And above the platform, there was a board that read as follows.
'Prick one of your fingers to bleed and press down the same hand on the platform. Only after that enter through the portal.'
With just a glance, I easily recognised this apparatus as one of the methods Yruvkish's mother had developed to distinguish between males and females easily.
