After some time in the conservatory alone, Ophelia decided to go back to her room with the book given to her in her grasp. She was now halfway through the book, and she found herself loving it.
Even Leonard knew about her preferences for books, and somehow she found it fascinating.
In her chamber, Ophelia was sitting on a single sofa with her full attention on the book in her grasp. She flips the paper to the next page and reaches out to her cup of tea on the coffee table, then sips on it.
Her attention was only retracted from the book when she heard more footsteps walking past her chamber than usual. She looked at the entrance of her chamber and saw shadows passing through under the tiny gap of the door.
She placed the cup of tea back on top of the table and closed the book after making sure to place a bookmark between the pages, then went closer to the door and placed her ear against the door, trying to discern the noises outside.
