That day, Lucilia laid out her plan to the Queen, discussing allying with Earth and bringing in smaller, independent groups, all in an effort to dethrone her father. Eldriel listened to every word that Lucilia spoke. Her two daughters, Alyndra and Caestrianna, also listened, both having their own opinions on the matter.
Eldriel then finally spoke "So, in short, your plan relies on myself and my armies?"
"Yes, your grace." Lucilia said.
Eldriel then sighed. "I will not force my people into another war; when we win our own war, I will allow volunteers to join you, and volunteers only."
"I have an alternate proposal." Ren spoke up, shocking everyone in the room.
"Ren?" Lucilia asked.
"When this war ends, I'm fine with accepting volunteers from your side. But allow us to also receive volunteers from both races on the planet." Ren said proposing a deal.
"Ren? What are you-" Lucilia tried speaking up.
"Hmm, you're a brave young prince. I'll give you that." Eldriel said. "I highly doubt you will receive any volunteers from the others."
"I'm quite a people person." Ren said it with a smirk.
"Hmmm....Mother? Alyndra said it with a smile.
"What is it?" Eldriel asked.
"I think we should consider both of their offers." Alyndra said.
"What do you mean?" Eldriel asked.
"Why not support them but also allow them to get support from the others? Alyndra asked.
"You want a united army? Have you gone mad, sister?" Caestrianna asked her sister.
Alyndra kept her smile. "Mad? Maybe so, but this war is draining resources on all sides. We fight for the resources that remain, people die, and the process starts all over again. Wouldn't it be better if we all found a way to work together? All of our sides also dislike the Volarians'; our hatred for the Emperor could unite all three factions."
"It seems you thought about this for a long time, daughter." Eldriel said.
"I have. I've been meaning to implement this idea for awhile now, but I never had the means. But the princess and prince may just be what we need." Alyndra responded.
"I'm completely against this." Caestrianna said while crossing her arms.
"I know, sister. But give me a little faith." Alyndra said it with a smile.
"Fine, it's up to you, Alyndra." Eldriel said. "Princess Lucilia, Prince Ren."
"Yes, your grace?" Lucilia responded.
"You will have the support of my daughter, Alyndra. Any further support must be earned." Eldriel said it in an authoritative voice. "Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes, Queen Eldriel." Lucilia said.
"Okay, dismissed." Eldriel said.
Soon afterwards, Caestrianna and Eldriel left the room; however, Alyndra stayed with them.
"Hello!" Alyndra said it with a smile.
"Hello, thank you for your support." Ren said.
"No problem; in the end, your plan is a means to an end for my own plan. So I figured, why not work together?" Alyndra said. "So tell me, this Earth. Will they side with you?"
"We're still in talks; it would help if we showed them a large force backing us. My people will always take the winning side." Ren said.
"And are you winning?" Alyndra asked.
"Our forces have started to take out bases on the outskirts of the Empire; our goal is to cut off their main trade routes as well as limit their control." Ren said.
"My sister also confirmed there are several smaller planets that have aligned with us in this war. We have momentum." Lucilia said.
"And tell me, if you win the war, will you be taking the throne, Lucilia?" Alyndra said.
"It would be shared with me and Ren." Lucilia answered.
"Does that go for his harem as well? I noticed the marks on some of the ladies here." Alyndra said.
"That's...still to be discussed." Lucilia said.
"Hmm...well, fine, I think it's time I tell you a bit about the current political state of the planet." Alyndra said this before walking to Ren. "Now follow me, cutie."
"...What did you just say?" Lucilia said it with an angry voice.
"I..."cutie?" Ren said in response.
"Not again..." Scarlet said, facepalming.
Alyndra looked back at them with the same smile. "I said what I said. Now let's go."
