Chapter 10 - An Intriguing Invitation

Woo-ri's curiosity intensified as Seo-jin's bodyguard approached and handed her a card. She accepted it with a mix of curiosity and caution, her fingers trembling slightly as she examined its contents. The card held Seo-jin's basic information, confirming that this was indeed the enigmatic man she had been seeking answers about.

She raised her gaze to meet Seo-jin's, her expression a blend of surprise and intrigue. He leaned in slightly, his voice a low, confidential murmur.

"This is my card. I have something I'd like to discuss with you. Meet me tomorrow at the VIP lounge of the Royal Mirage Mansion , Room 600 ,by 3pm . Use the card key provided, and wait for me there."

Woo-ri nodded, her mind racing with a whirlwind of questions. What did Seo-jin want to discuss with her? She couldn't deny that this was an opportunity she couldn't pass up, especially if it meant her giving him a taste of his own medicine, making him feel what heart break look like. With a mixture of anticipation and apprehension, she replied,

"I'll be there, Seo-jin."

Seo-jin nodded, a subtle gleam in his eyes. "Until then, Han Woo-ri."

As Woo-ri watched as Seo-jin rose from his seat, ready to depart, he suddenly paused, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. He realized that in the midst of their intriguing conversation, Woo-ri had neglected to introduce herself.

Turning back to her, he raised an eyebrow and remarked, "Last time I checked, you didn't introduce yourself."

Woo-ri, her nerves still fluttering from the unexpected encounter, quickly cleared her throat and replied, "Sorry for my manners. My name is Han Woo-ri."

Seo-jin, seemingly amused by her abrupt introduction, couldn't help but tease her further. "Ah, Han Woo-ri," he mused, "but I think I'll call you 'Shortie.'"

Woo-ri, caught off guard by the playful nickname, accidentally sputtered her drink in surprise. She shot him an indignant look, her annoyance momentarily overshadowing her earlier nervousness.

Seo-jin, however, couldn't contain a mischievous grin. He leaned closer, meeting her gaze, and said,

"Don't worry, Shortie. It's all in good fun."

With that, he left the table, leaving Woo-ri both flustered and intrigued. Woo-ri watched Seo-jin's departure with a mix of emotions, the playful nickname still ringing in her ears. Anger simmered in her mind at his teasing, but beneath it all, curiosity continued to drive her forward.

As she finally stood up from the table, Seo-jin's bodyguard handed her phone back to her, and they departed, leaving her alone amidst the dimly lit nightclub. Woo-ri took a deep breath, feeling a whirlwind of emotions coursing through her.

To her surprise, as she stepped outside, she spotted Ji-eun waiting for her. Her best friend rushed over, embracing her tightly.

"Are you okay? Did he hurt you? Did he do something bad to you?"

Ji-eun's concern was palpable as she checked Woo-ri's body, searching for any signs of harm.

Woo-ri, touched by Ji-eun's genuine worry, assured her,

"No, Ji-eun, I'm okay. He didn't do anything to me. It was just... a normal encounter."

Ji-eun sighed with relief but still looked concerned.

"I don't like this, Woo. You're getting too involved. Please promise me you'll be careful. We don't know who this guy is."

Woo-ri nodded, understanding Ji-eun's apprehension. "I promise, Ji-eun. I'll be cautious. Let's go home and talk about it."

With that, they left the nightclub together,

Woo-ri and Ji-eun left the club together, their footsteps echoing through the quiet streets as they made their way home. The night was cool, and the city lights glimmered around them, casting long shadows on the pavement.

As they arrived home, Woo-ri couldn't shake the sense of mystery that had enveloped her evening. She knew that the encounter with Seo-jin was just the beginning of something much larger, and she needed to tread carefully.

Inside their cozy apartment, Woo-ri and Ji-eun settled into the living room. The dim glow of the cityscape outside their window provided a calming ambiance as they discussed the events of the evening.

Ji-eun couldn't hide her worry. "Woo, are you sure you want to go meet him tomorrow? It all feels so strange."

Woo-ri nodded thoughtfully. "I have to, Ji-eun. if I don't how can I get revenge, how can I give him a taste of his own medicine,I want him to have a taste of what heart break look like,he can't just treat any woman the way he pleases"

Ji-eun sighed, her concern for her friend evident. "Just promise me you'll be careful. We don't know what you're walking into."

Woo-ri reached out and grasped Ji-eun's hand, offering a reassuring smile. "I promise, Ji-eu I'll will be okay "

As Woo-ri made her way to the designated hotel and entered the lobby, she couldn't help but feel a mixture of excitement and nervousness. The encounter with Seo-jin had left her with more questions than answers, and now, as she stood before the receptionist, she knew she was about to delve deeper into a world of mystery.

She showed the receptionist the card Seo-jin had given her, and the woman's professional demeanor immediately kicked in. With a courteous nod, she led Woo-ri to the VIP lounge, gesturing for her to enter.

"Ma'am, if you need anything else during your stay, please don't hesitate to call us," the receptionist said with a warm smile before departing, leaving Woo-ri alone in the opulent lounge.

Woo-ri's eyes widened in astonishment as she took in her surroundings. The lounge was a masterpiece of luxury and elegance, adorned with plush furnishings, soft ambient lighting, and panoramic views of the city skyline. It felt like stepping into a world she had only seen in movies, a stark contrast to her ordinary life.

Taking a seat in one of the sumptuous chairs, Woo-ri marveled at the surreal atmosphere. The minutes ticked by as she waited, her mind racing with anticipation for her meeting with Seo-jin.

Time seemed to stretch in the lavish surroundings of the lounge, and Woo-ri couldn't help
