Kakuzu's anger was understandable. He preferred the reward of money after work rather than the process of earning it. What infuriated him further was Naruto's apparent softness, which Kakuzu interpreted as weakness.
Kakuzu, who had lived through the First Hokage era and witnessed the establishment of the five major countries and the five major Ninja villages, couldn't fathom how someone like Naruto could provoke him.
In a fit of rage, Kakuzu sneered and opened his hands, clenching his fists at Naruto. He vowed to fulfill Naruto's wish for death and hoped that Naruto's head would fetch a good price.
Suddenly, Kakuzu's fists disconnected from his wrists, connected only by black lines, a testament to his immortality. Naruto, in a display of his speed and agility, dodged Kakuzu's attack and closed the distance between them.
Naruto, despite not having mastered the Body Flicker Technique, had reached a level of speed that could be considered as such. He moved swiftly and expertly, landing a powerful blow to Kakuzu's chest.
Kakuzu, unable to defend himself in time, was sent flying and fell to his knees, coughing up blood. The masks on his back, each representing a heart and a source of his immortality, were now in plain sight, a secret no longer hidden.
Naruto had managed to defeat Kakuzu, a feat that seemed impossible to many.
At that moment, one of the heart masks adorning Kakuzu's form began to contort, eventually breaking free from his body and transforming into a monstrous entity composed entirely of writhing black threads. It lay motionless, life extinguished.
Naruto appeared to have shattered Kakuzu's heart with a single punch—a blow seemingly fatal. While somewhat exaggerated, it was not entirely implausible.
After all, Naruto underwent rigorous physical training year-round, including adapting to 30 times Earth's gravity. Presently, with Akatsuki recruiting warriors requiring combat readiness, he refrained from activating such extreme measures.
At his current level, even without resorting to specialized techniques, his physical prowess alone rendered him a veritable superhuman. Contrary to common misconception, individuals like Kakuzu possessed Chakra, albeit not employed for ninjutsu. Nonetheless, Chakra was integral to their physical abilities.
Kakuzu, however, failed to anticipate Naruto's devastating strike, the repercussions of which were profound. This was not an indictment of Kakuzu's weakness but a testament to Naruto's exceptional might.
Yet, Kakuzu, resilient as he was, possessed five hearts, staving off certain death. Though rising from the ground, his countenance betrayed a mixture of rage and trepidation.
Aware he was no true immortal, Kakuzu understood that destruction of all five hearts spelled his demise. Consequently, should Naruto replicate his assault fourfold, Kakuzu would meet his end.
Naruto's punch exemplified unfathomable force, capable of rending flesh and bone alike.
Unbeknownst to Kakuzu, Naruto harbored this knowledge, yet the former remained defiant. "It appears I underestimated you," Kakuzu growled, determination etched on his features. "Prepare to witness my true power."
With a swift hand seal, Kakuzu ruptured the stitches adorning his body, unleashing a torrent of malevolent black threads— a grotesque spectacle indeed.
Even Naruto, a person who didn't originally have an intense phobia, twitched his eyes and couldn't help but regret it. He should have cut off Kakuzu's flying hands earlier to prevent him from making imprints.
This was Kakuzu's grievance mode. By releasing thin black lines of grievance from his body, these grievances could serve as a direct means of attack and could also extract the hearts of others.
"Give me your heart," Kakuzu yelled, directing the dense threads toward Naruto.
Naruto was decisive, immediately employing one of his Master's few Fire Style ninjutsu to burn these disgusting threads to ashes.
However, Kakuzu countered with a Water Style technique.
A mask emerged from behind Kakuzu, and a water cannonball shot out from the mouth of the mask monster on his shoulder.
While the water curtain appeared small, as Naruto's Fire Style began to burn on the black lines, the water cannonballs erupted on the flames, immediately extinguishing Naruto's Fire Style.
Kakuzu's captured hearts retained their attributes from their previous lives, so besides his body having the Earth attribute, he also possessed four other attributes.
However, Naruto managed to smash one of Kakuzu's hearts along with a mask monster, causing him to lose a certain attribute.
Observing Kakuzu's secret technique, the disgusting dense black threads approached without hindrance.
Naruto finally grew angry, his eyes quickly transforming into the state of Gouyu Rinnegan. Shouting with both hands raised, he declared coldly, "Shinra Tensei."
In an instant, a terrifying repulsive force surged from Naruto's body, sending everything around him flying. Thankfully, Black Zetsu and White Zetsu weren't by his side, or they would have been swept away as well.
Kakuzu was taken aback. Whether or not he understood the meaning of Rinnegan, he grasped that his technique had no effect on Naruto.
But that wasn't all.
After flicking away a thin line of resentment, Naruto raised his hand and beckoned Kakuzu with a finger: "Universal Pull."
Kakuzu immediately felt his body losing control, as an unparalleled suction pulled him closer to Naruto.
Following this, Naruto used Shinra Tensei again.
