Despite the years of pain stemming from Yahiko's death and Obito's manipulations, Nagato found solace in Konan's newfound joy and Naruto's allegiance.
Konan didn't say anything, silently supporting all of Nagato's decisions and actions. Naruto had changed their perspectives.
Nagato, expressing gratitude, nodded to Naruto, acknowledging that without him, Nagato would have remained in the dark, following the wrong path.
Naruto, not wanting to dwell on gratitude, asked straightforwardly, "By the way, have you found the whereabouts of Itachi and Orochimaru?"
Nagato began by addressing Itachi's movements. It seemed that Itachi had left Konoha Village and Fire Country, heading towards Village Hidden by Clouds. Nagato speculated that Itachi might be avoiding potential conflicts in Village Hidden by Clouds, known for its tough stance since the Third Ninja War.
Concerning Orochimaru, Konan revealed that he had been inquiring about them recently, prompting worries about potential exposure. Naruto, displaying a cold resolve, declared his intention to deal with Orochimaru once he met Black Zetsu. If Orochimaru proved to be a threat, Naruto was prepared to eliminate him without mercy.
Nagato and Konan exchanged glances. Nagato informed Naruto that they had already contacted Black Zetsu, and both Black and White Zetsu were on their way, likely to arrive that evening.
Excited by the news, Naruto instructed them not to take any action, avoiding alarming Black Zetsu. He planned to meet Black Zetsu alone.
Konan, expressing concern, asked if there was any danger. Naruto, activating his Byakugan, reassured her. He was confident that Black Zetsu's strength wouldn't surpass Six Paths, alleviating Konan's worries about potential danger.
Naruto had almost mastered the power of Six Paths over the years. If he was truly pushed to the edge, he was confident that he could break free from Black Zetsu's control. Additionally, he had many secret methods at his disposal. At this stage, apart from Sage Mode, he had already mastered many things.
Naruto was planning to meet and talk with Black Zetsu alone, but he hadn't rushed to train in Sage Mode for a reason. One day, he suddenly discovered that he could use Wood Style Chakra. This was unexpected and surprising, and he wasn't sure if it was due to Ashura Chakra or his bloodline connection to the Senju and Uchiha clans. In addition to the fixed Wood Style ninjutsu moves, Wood Style Chakra was already available to him. Even the mask he wore was made using Wood Style.

Perhaps the First Hokage, Senju Hashirama, activated his Sage Mode in a similar manner. It didn't originate from the Shikkotsu Forest. During the Fourth Ninja War, if Hashirama had truly formed a contract with Katsuyu the Slug, he would have summoned her to heal the Ninja Army.
However, this didn't align with Hashirama's character. Furthermore, neither Tsunade nor Sakura knew Sage Mode, and they were the ones who had formed a contract with the Shikkotsu Forest.
In short, Naruto was prepared to negotiate with Black Zetsu.
