Unaware of the activities stirring within Konoha Village, Naruto continued his journey through the night, crossing the Land of Fire and finally arriving at the Amegakure. This country was shrouded in perpetual clouds, living up to its name with year-round rainfall. Naruto, descending from the sky above the rain clouds, intentionally avoided entering the rain, not out of a dislike for getting wet but due to the knowledge that Nagato possessed a unique ninjutsu.
Nagato's technique allowed him to merge Chakra with the rain, enabling surveillance of the entire country. Any outsider entering Amegakure would be promptly detected. Despite his urge to remain discreet, Naruto pressed forward, exploring the expansive village from the sky. Its significance in Amegakure made it larger than other settlements in the region.
Locating the village, Naruto smirked, ready to employ his tricks. Without hesitation, he descended rapidly from the sky, using the overwhelming gravity magnified thirty times. Landing gracefully in front of the gates, even though it was early morning, two Amegakure ninjas stood diligently at their post, unfazed by the rain.
As Naruto approached, the weather intensified, raining even harder. This unique and constant precipitation reflected the village's particular climate, with the rain growing more intense the closer one got to Amegakure. Naruto, undeterred by the weather, stood at the gates, prepared to navigate the intricacies of this mysterious and rain-soaked village.
Naruto's concern for the Amegakure's survival led him to ponder the challenges it faced due to constant rainfall. He speculated on the possibility of high terrain diverting water elsewhere, causing agricultural difficulties. The proximity to the Land of Wind's deserts offered some relief, but the intricate balance of nature and survival intrigued him.
Approaching Amegakure, Naruto encountered two ninjas on duty. Anticipating a confrontation, he reassured them that he sought Nagato, known as Pain, and mentioned Hanzō of the Salamander and Konan. The complexity of the Amegakure Shinobi's political situation caused confusion. While Hanzō was believed to be the leader, Nagato held the true power, and Konan managed village affairs covertly.
As Naruto spoke of these figures, hesitation gripped the ninjas, prompting one to decide to report the situation. Naruto agreed to wait, confident in his ability to navigate the delicate circumstances. Kurama, ever questioning Naruto's plans, highlighted the lack of knowledge about his intentions.
Naruto clarified, revealing the deeper truth behind Akatsuki. While Nagato was the public face, Obito's manipulations ran deep.
"I was kind enough to report the news to them. Obito was killed by me. They need a new boss now," Naruto declared, a determined glint in his eyes.
"It is me," he added, asserting his intentions to take charge and reshape the destiny of Akatsuki. The intricate dance between politics, power, and truth in the Amegakure unfolded as Naruto stood poised to make his mark on the organization's future.
Naruto surprises even Kurama with his audacious plan. The notion of Naruto wanting to join another organization and potentially become its leader raises eyebrows, especially considering the calculated nature of his ambitions. Despite Kurama's skepticism, Naruto wears a confident expression, hinting at a well-thought-out plan that he keeps close to the chest.
Soon after, Naruto is granted permission to enter Amegakure and visit its leadership. Without much ado, he follows the guard, stepping into the village that had occupied his contemplation. As he traverses through Amegakure, he keenly observes its construction, acknowledging the quality despite its smaller scale compared to Konoha Village. Tall buildings punctuate the landscape, though the empty streets bear the consequence of the perpetual rain—a defining characteristic of the nation.
Naruto, reflective as ever, contemplates the village's fate during the Second Ninja World War and the challenges faced by Hanzō of the Salamander. The scars left by the conflict, despite Amegakure not being directly destroyed by the three major countries, reveal the intricacies of wartime consequences. Naruto grapples with the complexities of a village that suffered despite not being at the forefront of destruction.
As he approaches the tallest tower, Naruto is instructed to wait. Seemingly unfazed, he humorously comments on the conspicuousness of the situation, playfully calling for the senior members to come out and meet him.
