"Is there any breakthrough, Nepheria?" Nathalia said as she looked at Nepheria, who was holding a magnifying glass in her hand, using it to look at the intricate designs of the book itself to see if she could decipher more from it. She did find some, but to her, she did not understand what the significance of it was, yet she still wrote it down in another book. As she heard Natalia's voice, she looked at her and shook her head.
"Not, yet it's equivalent to a normal book without any form of energy other than a supernatural power that predicts the true future, and it book just wrote on the paper and it said that 'The Eternal Flower shall get out of the garden in 12 days from now on' and I don't know what it meant, but it must be something dangerous that it even made the book write about such an unknown thing. It's supposed to give a description of what it is, but it doesn't" Nepheria said, as she did not know the reason why, how it even wrote that, or what even an eternal flower is. It might be some sort of very rare medicinal plant or maybe an incredible poisonous plant, maybe even sentient. Whatever it is, it might not be able to help them with what they are currently trying to harness the power of the book itself.
"Is that so? What do you think it is? Does the book help the one who holds it by letting them know what they want?" Nathalia said asked if it's possible that the book itself helps the one who holds it, so it might be able to hastily find a way to cure Vernon, but Nepheria just shakes her head, saying that it does not help her at all. If it would help her, they might have already found a way to cure Vernon.
"Well, I've had it for some time for now, but it does not help in any circumstances, but it just wrote some words or sentences in rare cases, that's pretty much all" Nepheria said as she flipped the pages of the book, only to be blanked again as it does not write for some time.
"What about the intricate designs in it? It might have some significance or a clue to know how to use it or something" Nathalia said that maybe with a little bit of clue, they might have a way to use it to use the power that the book itself uses, but Nepheria just sighed as she had already done it.
"Sigh, done that too, and they don't tell you how to use it, but after some years of deciphering every stroke, every line, and every curve of the intricate designs, I've seen that it was about a story about a blindfolded woman and a veiled woman. I don't know what it is, but it should hold something as a clue. Do you know about it? What do you think? Do you have any knowledge about anything about a blindfolded woman or a veiled woman?" Nepheria said as she told Nathalia about the things she found in the intricate designs of the book. It was two women that she found, one blindfolded and the other with a veil covering their faces.
"A blindfolded woman and a veiled woman—what was that again?" Nathalia said as she seemed to know about it as she thinks harder, while Nepheria just looked at her with anticipation that maybe Nathalia had knowledge about the two women. It would greatly help them in their investigation to know how to use the power that the book uses.
"Ahh! I finally knew what it was. It's a story of two women in the garden of white flowers, one blindfolded woman and the other veiled woman" Nathalia said as she finally remembered it. It was the story that Vernon always loved. He would always ask their mother to hear the story again.
"What is it?" Nepheria said as she seemed happy for the fact that they finally had a lead at this, and Nathalia seemed to know something about it, and it might help them get one step closer to curing Vernon.
"It's a story that Vernon always loved to hear" Nathalia said as she looked at Nepheria. She knows that out of their family members, Nepheria has always been the person who has not yet heard or even known it.
"What story? Why have I never heard of it?" Nepheria said as she asked Nathalia what sort of story it is that even she had not heard it from Vernon, and she knows that Vernon always loved to show and tell him what he always liked, so for Vernon to like it so much yet not tell her was a bit of a surprise for her.
"Well, it's a family tradition that you could only learn and know about the story when you reach 20 years old. Vernon always wanted to tell you about this story to share what he also loved, but as you can see, you're already married when you are 16 and left home after your marriage. Although he wanted to share it when you had already reached 20 years old and visited you, he suddenly lost that memory in the family instance, He was about to leave to tell it to you, and it was forced to be postponed as it took 2 years to retell his lost memories" Nathalia said, as the story was actually a family tradition that would only be known by the family who had reached the age of 20, and Vernon had tried to tell her the story but failed to do so due to the sudden erasure of his memories in those crucial moments. As for why Nathalia did not go and tell Nepheria instead, Vernon insisted that he would be the one to tell the story.
"I see. Can you tell me about it?" Nepheria said as she looked at Nathalia in front of her as she readied herself to listen to the story.
"Of course, I have a data crystal that recorded Vernon retelling the story. It was a gift from Vernon, if he ever did not have a chance to tell you about it" Nathalia said as she took out a blue crystal from her pocket space and threw it to Nepheria. Nepheria caught it in her hand and felt the cold, smooth crystal in her palm.
"To think he would go this far just for a story, I always thought that he would always be lazy whenever he is" Nepheria said as she could feel the amount of mana radiating from the stone. It was Vernon's creation. Although she is already equal to Vernon, she seems pale in comparison when it comes to creating magical items.
"It's something he loved after all, so of course he would not let the opportunity of turning it into a video" Nathalia said as she smiled, remembering the memories in the past that Vernon would take time to blindfold himself only to roll down the hill.
"This seemed to be filled with too much, don't you think?" Nepheria said as she felt the mana inside the data crystal as she probed into it, feeling that this was actually compressed to a horrifying degree. Even for her, it would be a hard feat to do.
"I can't be helped. He always liked it when the videos he creates are so extravagant that they are filled with his mana, especially since this story is his favorite. Of course, he would go all out" Natalia said as she looked at Nepheria, who was holding the data crystal in her hand.
