An hour to a few minutes later, they finally reached Ertonfield. Amari had expected a few things, but this was not among them when he thought of the city.
It was a monolith of metal buildings that joined to form tall spires and shanties that spread out multiple miles on the outskirts of the city. They entered a wide barrier just as they got close to the gate of the city.
The heat Amari had been feeling before disappeared, as though there was nothing there in the first place.
But he could care less about that. The city in itself was a technological marvel far too much for him to comprehend. If you told him that he wasn't in a semi-medieval world and planet, he would probably believe you.
A magnificent spire that towered over the rest of the buildings stood in the centre of the entire city. Several spikes drove outward from its completely white body.
