"Can you explain it from the beginning?" the blonde-haired lady asked, snapping Amari out of all his thoughts at once.
He nodded, "Well, it all started when I-"
He caught himself just before he finished talking. A blunder as big as that would be terrible for him. Only Aunt Tamara and the Spore Goblin Fairy knew so far, and he wasn't even comfortable with their knowledge of it, despite both being dead.
'Shit, that was a close one. I almost told her about my reincarnation!'
"Well, what?" the lady snapped.
"Sorry. It just brought back a lot of memories for me, ma'am."
She frowned, "Don't ever call me ma'am. Just relax, and tell me everything. I'm not an enemy."
"Right," he finally said, "Well, Mom and Dad found me in the Pit as a baby around four years ago. They adopted and raised me like their own all that time… until a few months ago."
The blonde-haired woman froze. It looked like she understood the general situation.
