Amari's first thought was to groan.
'What kind of cliche-ass situation have I gotten myself into?'
The speaker was a large man. The man wasn't very peculiar except for the muscles bulging through his armour. It looked wholly unnatural.
Two horns stuck out the sides of his head. They weren't very big. In fact, Lilia or Isla's horns were probably bigger than this man's.
"No, thank you." he sighed and pushed Sitri behind him.
"Well, you can just leave her in my roo-" the man paused upon realising what he said, "Did you just reject my offer, you bloody no-horn?!"
No-horn. That was a new one.
Real-life people who acted like this, unfortunately, did exist. But this wasn't a novel. Amari wasn't some benevolent hero who wanted to remain lowkey. With his goals, remaining lowkey wouldn't last very long in the first place
So he tilted his head up to look the giant man in his blue eyes.
