"No give her back!"
"Damn you… monster!"
A male voice filled with rage exploded among the constant screams and crying. The screams became more compact with emotions as time passed on and the voice began to lose its vigor and it become drown in the surrounding.
This one is an interesting specimen indeed I wonder how much I can learn from the feels this one possess.
…
"Gah!"
I stood up scanning my surroundings, I was no longer on the battlefield. I didn't know where I was but the last thing I remember is losing my entire party.
I gripped my chest as the memories correlate with the dream I just woke up from and I began to sweat bullets.
"Sheena!" I whispered under my breath as I felt my crumbled dry lips begin to crack.
My eyes winced in pain and I tried to stand up in search of something to quench my thirst and maybe even something edible to satiate my hunger.
I sluggishly stood to my feet, staggering in response to the pain and exhaustion my body carried.
I scanned my surroundings and noticed that I was in a wooden hut one I was unfamiliar with. The walls were made of cedar planks and the flooring was made of gravel.
The bed I was on was a grass filled sack that carried the scent of freshly cut vegetation. There wasn't any furniture in the hut except for two other grass sacks laying on either side of the on I was on.
By the door stood weapons;
A staff, a claymore and a rapier. I immediately recognized each weapon and froze where I stood as they triggered more memories.
I remember Sheena getting taken and me being powerless to stop them and Ellen diving head first into their portal despite being gravely wounded and lacking her weapon.
Rochelle was beside me on the floor unconscious while covered in her own blood, she had deep slashes all over her body even cuts on her face and her fingers was blistered as if it had been seered by a hot iron.
As for me, I was bearly standing, my right arm was torn to shreds and i could only see out of my right eye, I had lost a lot of blood and could neatly support my body.
There were bodies all over the battlefield whether dead or gravely injured the healers were giving it they're all trying to fix those in dire need but it seemed worthless.
"Damn Eatherals!" My dried cracked lips bent into a frown and I held on the the little shoulder that remained of my missing right arm.
I was filled with so much rage that I completely ignored all the pain that bombarded my nervous system.
We didn't stand a chance back then, the other two Eathernals that arrived just looked an the battle field and everyone was blown to smithereens.
I need to get stronger and get a skill that can regenerate my arms if am planning to save Ellen or Sheena.
I grabbed an orange that was in the basket by the door and ripped into it. The citric juices stinged the cracks on my lips but i ignored all that and continued to devour it like a hungry beast.
I tried to take another step to exit the hut but my legs gave out and I fell to my but. It was then that something strange caught my eyes.
My body was riddled with markings, these markings were like runes but I wasn't sure how they got there. I've never been a fan of tattoo so something like this was a bit unsightly in my eyes. I used my left hand to touch the rune at the centre of my chest it was like the lowercase letter (a) in the English language but there were weird lines all over it.
Touching it caused it to smudge and a dark ink like substance was now at the top of my fingers.
In an instant my eye turned up revealing the white of my eye and a deafening cry of an dying beast escaped my lips, I was in so much pain it was as if my bones were being twisted and snipped while inside my body.
An electrifying sensation was running through my veins as I continued to scream.
The pain was driving me insane, I felt like my remaining eye was on the verge of popping out there was a beating in my ears almost as if there was a bass drum being struck within close proximity to my ears.
"What did you do now? this human is trying to kill himself, granny! Granny!"
I was hearing a faint voice as my mind slowly began to shut down under the pain. The last thing I could remember before passing out was someone tapping me on my forehead, this action stood out despite the pain I was in but my consciousness faded in an instant, as the pain vanished.
….
"Why are you helping him granny? Didn't you say humans mustn't know of our existence as we are a long forgotten race?"
My eyes slowly opened this time it was as if my vision was back in full I no longer felt as if my right eye was missing, my full field of vision was within view.
I saw two silhouettes in my peripheral and turned my head to the left.
There were two round cloudy like figures floating at the left, one was slightly larger than the other.
"Ah so you're awake? How are you feeling?"
