Once they entered the dungeon, a rather simple forest spread out in front of their eyes.
There were only trees and bushes, and there didn't seem to be many animals, for the fact that no birds could be heard in the surroundings or any other animal.
"So the dungeons are constantly changing, it's quite interesting."
Erik muttered looking up at the sky where there were two suns, he was intrigued by the monsters in this dungeon. Because in the two dungeons he entered it wasn't outdoors.
"By the way, Violet, what monsters are in this dungeon?"
He asked as he finished looking up at the dungeon sky.
"Well, according to what it said on the hunter's page, there may be Black Tooth Wolves or Goblins here."
Violet replied inspecting the surroundings, and preparing a defensive spell beforehand.
"Hmm, I understand…"
"Why are you asking me that? Didn't you read the information it said on the page?"
"I didn't read it, I just looked at the dungeons that were closest to the dungeon."
Erik was honest, besides, he was enjoying his $15 breakfast too much to look at what monsters were in the available dungeons.
"Phew... Seriously."
Violet all she could do was sigh, she couldn't believe what she heard, she doesn't know how important the information is.
"Let's get started."
They went deeper into the forest, staying on high alert to avoid any kind of surprise attack, which is the common tactic of monsters, except for bosses, which are usually more cunning than normal monsters.
After walking for a while, monster noises began to be heard far away from where they were at that moment.
"Kiiekk!!!"
"Kiieekke-!!!"
"They sound like goblins"
Violet commented recognizing the sound of the monsters that were not too far away from them.
"Are you sure?"
Erik asked, because he didn't know what noise the Goblins were making.
Although he had heard of goblins in the test, he hadn't made it to that area, so he didn't recognize the sound those monsters were making.
"Yes, I'm sure they're goblins."
Violet stated, certain that the monsters were goblins.
"Then, this dungeon will be a piece of cake for us."
Erik, knowing that they were goblins, relaxed completely, as these are at the bottom of the food chain.
Even an ordinary grown man can defeat them, as long as he doesn't panic, otherwise he would be devoured by the goblin.
Also, they are the only monsters that can be defeated with conventional weapons, that's how weak goblins are.
"Very well, let's begin!"
Erik exclaimed, twirling his spear and creating a small breeze.
Violet began to chant an offensive spell and this one was much faster than normal, because she is no longer on E but on D so her spells are faster.
A little further ahead, a small group of five goblins could be seen walking calmly without knowing what awaited them.
Erik seeing them didn't think twice and jumped towards them.
Although this act was reckless, after all, they were just goblins, weren't they? So he could afford it.
With that leap, Erik landed in the middle of the group of goblins startling them by his sudden appearance.
"Kiieekke!"
And before the goblins could react or do anything, he swung the spear hard, creating a circle.
"Kiieekk!!!"
The goblins' heads flew through the air leaving a thin line of blood, before their bodies collapsed creating a pool of blood on the ground.
[Monsters - Rank E, 30 times: incomplete (5/30)]
"Phew... honestly, I'm still shocked."
Erik muttered with a satisfied smile, looking at the lifeless bodies of the goblins.
He looked down at his hand and closed it tightly; He was beginning to enjoy this feeling of power.
'This is just a figment of my imagination, I'm still too weak compared to that man or that huge wolf.'
However, he knew that what he was experiencing was due to the monsters being too weak, so he would not let that feeling go to his head.
"Let's move on."
Violet said, after collecting the mana stones. Though she was a bit surprised by the attack she made.
'It's much stronger than when we didn't get that spider in.'
His movements were fluid, and not jerky, as if he had been trained years with the spear.
"Erik, since when do you use the spear?"
Violet couldn't hold her curiosity and asked.
"Not long, I think it's been less than a month since he used a spear."
"..."
Violet was speechless, hearing the honest answer.
'You're telling me he can do those moves, WITHOUT taking a fucking month of using a spear!'
'What a monstrous talent'
Violet, can't believe Erik's monstrous talent.
"Let's move on we have more dungeons to clear."
They went deeper in search of more monsters. As they went on, they encountered more goblins as they went deeper into the forest.
As expected, they finished off all the goblins they encountered easily, even without trying too hard.
Despite eliminating many goblins on their way, Erik did not go up a single level.
It seemed that the goblins did not provide him with much experience. They concluded that his level was high and that goblin experience was insignificant for him, which was quite evident given that his level is 15.

After dealing with goblins for quite some time, they came out of the forest and found some poorly built houses, all filled with goblins of different sizes.
"So this is a goblin village..."
Violet muttered, watching the goblins wandering around, some of them even seemed to be eating some animal.
"But I don't see the boss monster anywhere."
Erik commented after examining the place. He didn't sense a strong presence in the area, as all the presences seemed quite normal.
"And once we're done with all of them, do we cast a spell on them or do I kill them myself?"
[Monsters - Rank E, 30 times: Complete (30/30)].
Now all that was left was to defeat the boss monster to complete the daily mission. It would be much calmer later, as the system would not assign any more quests for today.
"Hmm... These were attacked by me. Also, I want to try out a new spell I got when I moved up in rank."
Violet said, preparing to begin her new spell.
However, before she began her chant....
"I have a question, do wizards like you get new spells by buying scrolls or reading a huge book where spells are written?"
Erik asked, curious.
He had no idea how mages acquired new spells, so he wanted to know how they did it so he could try using magic himself as well.
"Hmm... About how we get new spells, the information just pops into our minds."
Violet replied matter-of-factly.
"Are you serious?"
Erik couldn't believe that they simply implanted the spells in their minds and that was it.
Where was the fun of studying a spell, of making mistakes and testing with a newly learned spell? Where were those hours of research to discover or create new magic?
I couldn't accept that they would just give them the information and that was it, they already had the spell learned.
"Yes, I'm serious. But that only applies to ranks E and D. Starting at rank C, we'll have to research our attributes and improve our skills to move up the ranks."
Violet explained.
It all made more sense to Erik now. If it didn't, mages would be very powerful and everyone would want to become one.
"I see, what are your attributes?"
Erik asked curiously.
"I possess two attributes: ice and light."
"Oh, you're a dual element mage!"
Erik exclaimed, visibly impressed. Although he didn't know much about mages, he felt that possessing two attributes was unusual.
"Fufufu~"
A broad smile appeared on Violet's face and puffed out her chest with pride. She knew it was extraordinary for a mage to have more than one attribute.
However, she quickly adopted a serious expression to begin her spell.
"Phew..."
Violet let out a sigh, closed her eyes and the surrounding mana began to congregate around her.
When she opened them again, it was glowing and the mana was transforming into magical energy, concentrating on the wand she held in her hand.
Then, he began to recite the chant of his new spell, the one he had learned after his promotion in rank.
Swoosh!
In the sky above the small village of goblins, a magic circle appeared and covered the whole place.
The goblins looked at all this in confusion.
"Kieekk!!!?"
"Kieeekk!!!"
"Kikeeeiikk!!!"
Violet, watching the magic circle in the sky, with a big smile on her face and exclaimed excitedly:
"[Star Glacier]"
Swoosh!!!
From the magic circle, a large rock made of ice began to emerge, which completely cleared the sky, leaving only the towering figure of the rock in the firmament.
"Wow, how beautiful!"
Erik exclaimed, looking at the huge rock in the sky.
The gigantic mass of ice began to descend from the sky like a meteorite at great speed, straight towards the small village of the elves.
The goblins at the sight of him panicked as they realized he was getting closer and closer.
"Kiiiieiieiiekekeke!!!"
"Kieekeiiikeei!!!"
"Kieeeeeieiekk!!!!"
The goblins tried to flee the village, but it was too late to escape the place....
BOOOOM!!!!
A thunderous sound echoed in the area as the ice rock hit the goblin village, which had no chance to escape, raising a huge cloud of dust all over the place.
RETUMBLE!!!
After the rumble came a strong tremor that shook the whole environment, alerting the few animals that were in the forest at that moment.
Swoosh
Next, a strong breeze swept away all the dust that covered the place, revealing the state of the goblin village, which lay destroyed in the middle of a huge frozen crater.
"How much magical energy did you expend in that spell?"
Erik asked, contemplating the vast hole.
"I used half of my magical power reserve."
Violet replied, as a bead of sweat trickled down her forehead, though her face couldn't hide the smile.
'Wizards are amazing'
Erik thought as he looked at the crater full of horrible monster corpses.
"Well, let's go pick up the mana stones."
Erik said, heading towards the crater.
Violet heads towards the crater.
Once inside, none of the goblins managed to survive the attack. If they had survived, it would have been a true miracle, but they were doomed to die at Erik's hands anyway.
"Wow, it's even more impressive up close!"
Erik exclaimed at the edge of the crater, then descended to pick up the mana stones.
