I could hear sound of galloping horses coming towards us. I watched Devon, waited for his reaction, but he wasn't doing anything.
Oh well, it's two possible turn for me now; whether it's my death day today, or perhaps Devon would save me. But he doesn't look like someone who is on to become the hero of the day. Or, should I get off the horse and run for my dear life?
"Why are you staring so much at my face? Are you expecting me to come off my horse and face them—why don't you go yourself?"
I clung around his arm, "you promised to protect you. I now expect you to do your job now by protecting me."
"Um...they are closer now."
He suddenly took away my face, as an arrow flew right beside us to a tree. I gasped. Certainly, I am in a fat oily trouble which would definitely cost my life.
