Chapter 8: Academy

~~~
Naruto walked to the academy, his hands inside his pockets. Damn, he was very late for class. If Jiraiya found out about this, oh man, that old hermit won't be letting this down until he died.
I'm going to get lectured. Naruto thought, picking out the most probable outcomes to this whole shebang. This thought was the one the picked to be the most probable outcome. Naruto soon caught sight of large building in the distance.
He had finally made it to the academy.
As Naruto walked towards the doors of the academy, he saw the surroundings and the academy itself. Naruto nodded, looking around the area with his perceptive eyes.
There was a swing with a tree right beside it. Naruto raised an eyebrow at that. "That seems quite sad," said Naruto, averting his eyes away from the swing and onto the academy once more.
It was large. Hah. That's what she said.
Naruto stood in front of the door that was going to lead him inside the academy walls. He outstretched his hand, touching the doorknob with a firm clench. Naruto pulled the doors of the academy and entered inside the hallway.
His eyes looked at the multiple rooms, his footsteps were the only thing he could hear. Naruto found the room that he had been assigned the day he had enrolled for the academy. Naruto stood in front of the door in a silent manner.
He slid the door open, revealing the classroom.
"Sorry, I got held up," said Naruto, entering the classroom with his usual stoic attitude. "Oh, you're the new student?" The teacher asked. Naruto nodded, standing in front of the class with hardly any nervousness.
"I'm Umino Iruka. Introduce yourself." Iruka gestured for him to do what he had to do. Naruto nodded again, his sharp eyes gazing at the class in front of him.
"Hello. . ." His voice rang throughout the room — the tone of it made people get chills. "My name is Ahihcu Naruto. I am 6-years old." He was just getting started. He started to list off his dislikes.
"My likes? Chess and things like that."
"My dislikes? Uchiha Satsuki."
"My dream? You're better off not knowing."
This caused an outrage in the class. A lot of them didn't care about the first and third — no — they cared about his dislikes. "Hey! Take that back!" A fanboy yelled, already hating Naruto because of his opinion on Satsuki.
Naruto was unfazed.
"HAHAH! This class never gets old!" Naruto looked to the left and saw an Inuzuka — a male one to be more specific. He raised an eyebrow before putting it back down. Oh? So this is a common occurrent.
"Calm down everyone! Naruto, please take a seat at the back of the class," said Iruka, pointing to the endless amount of seats that were open and also taken at the same time. Naruto nodded, slowly walking towards a seat at the back of the class.
This seems good enough. Naruto thought, lowering himself to the point where he was now seated down. There was a simple reason why he sat at the back; the array of seats where you are at the tallest point.
I get to look down everyone below me. Naruto thought, his eyes looking down on everyone with a condescending gaze. There were multiple looks and glares coming from the others.
But the most notable was Satsuki's.
I can practically feel her wanting to kill me. Naruto thought, blandly, amused, and unfazed. "Alright! Now, let us resume into the lesson." Naruto soon tuned everything out from his ears.
His eyes moved around class, soon meeting the eyes of Uchiha Satsuki. She was glaring at him with pure and deadly daggers. Naruto looked back, stoically and amused.
He smirked.
~~~

"We shall have a sparring session! Let us go outside!" Most of the class roared with excitement. They were very excited to be able to showoff amongst themselves.

Not like thy could anyway.

Naruto watched as they closely lined-up behind one another, slowly walking out of the shoji door that Iruka had slid open. Soon after, people from their class started filling up the halls of the academy.

Naruto followed behind the class in silence.

"Right this way," said Iruka, gesturing them outside of the academy. They all were outside in the field right outside of the academy. Their lined-up and organized order now has been disorganized and sloppy.

Naruto's caught who was going to go first.

"Uchiha Satsuki vs Taha Asa!" Iruka announced, 2 nods from 2 two girls that announced to be fighting. This caused multiple people to cheer from the sidelines. "Go! Satsuki-chan!" Ewww. That suffix — it made Satsuki twist with disgust.

I'll prove to that idiot Naruto that he should take me seriously. Grrr. Satsuki thought, clenching her hands tightly into a fist. Oh, yeah, she hates Naruto with all her heart.

He stood in the sidelines, waiting for the sparring match to start. His eyes followed the two girls as they got ready for their fight. Iruka looked at both of the sides.

"Please, I want a clean an honest fight. That means only taijutsu." The two girls nodded. Iruka looked at both sides again before nodding his head with satisfactory and stuck out his arm.

"Begin!" Iruka brought his arm back to his side. The two girls rushed towards each other, their intent was to win with an overwhelming victory. Naruto watched as Asa threw a punch towards Satsuki.

His eyes narrowed and observed, looking how Satsuki jumped to the left to dodge the punch thrown at her by Asa. Naruto made a mental note inside the back of his head.

She wasted too much movement dodging the attack. Naruto thought, thinking on how she could have just moved her torso slightly to the side to easily dodge the attack. His eyes continued to follow their combat movement.

Satsuki charged towards Asa, jumping up in the air and throwing a kick towards her face. Asa widened her eyes, barely dodging the attack with just pure and insane luck by her side.

But is luck enough?

Satsuki continued her endless attacks towards Asa; there was barely any room for her to dodge the attacks that were being aimed at her. This was good — leave Asa to defend while she could attack and apply pressure to her mind.

"Come on, is that all you have?" Taunted Satsuki, a smirk washing over her face as she saw Asa barely dodge a punch from her. Asa gritted her teeth. "Shut it!" Asa tried doing a counter attack. But all that led was her getting a bruising punch to the face.

Asa was knocked back to the ground.

"Yield," said Satsuki, the tips of her fingers aimed right to her throat. Asa growled at her. "Fine. I yield," responded Asa, venom laced inside her voice. Satsuki gained a smirk of pure satisfactory.

"Good." Satsuki walked away in silence. Iruka sighed, looking at the two girls that just had a spar right on the field. He nodded at the decided outcome.

"Winner: Uchiha Satsuki"

There was tons of cheers that erupted in the sidelines. Mostly from the boys, of course. As Naruto walked to the sidelines, her eyes traveled to Naruto's blank face. She gritted her teeth.

Even after all that, he doesn't even acknowledge by abilities? What an asshole. Satsuki thought in a bitter manner. Naruto noticed her eyeing on him and turned his eyes towards her.

She held her bitter gaze at him. Naruto raised an eyebrow before slightly nodding his head at her. He sighed before looking back at the next match. Satsuki narrowed her eyes at him. What is that supposed to mean? Her narrowed eyes pierced Naruto's soul. It was time for the next match to start.

"Akimichi Choji vs Nara Shikamaru"

There was a pair of groans at those words. Two people came walking into the field that they were supposed to be sparring on — one had a bag of chips on his hand and the other had a pineapple for a hair.

"Begin!" Iruka announced, backing away just slightly to give the two a bit of space to spar. But something quite unexpected happened; the two didn't try to even fight.

"This is too troublesome," said Shikamaru, yawning right at the end of it. Choji nodded in agreement. "Agreed. . . this is too much. . . work." Choji was munching on his prized and infamous chips.

"But you have to," stated Iruka, trying to reason with the two students. "But. . . we're friends, I rather. . . not fight a friend of. . . mine." Choji continued to munch on his delicious chips. Iruka sighed, shaking his head along with it.

"Alright, go back to the sidelines." The two nodded and went back to the sidelines. Iruka waited until everyone else settled down and moved on to the next sparring match. After quite some time, the final match was called.

"Ahihcu Naruto vs Yoni Yu"

A smirk appeared on Yu's face — he was one of the fanboys that hated on Naruto's opinion on Satsuki. The two stood at the center of the field. Their eyes locked onto each other.

"Satsuki-san. . . who do you think will. . . win?" A pinkette asked, having a question mark on top of her pink hair. This girl was Haruno Sakura — a civilian girl with the top scores in terms of academics.

Sakura had expected Satsuki to just not answer the question.

"This match is pointless. Naruto will win without a doubt," stated Satsuki in a confident but also bitter tone. Sakura gained a confused look on her face at her statement.

"How? Yu is actually pretty good at taijutsu — top 10 in the class," said Sakura, obviously in a very confused state of mind as of right now. Satsuki stayed silent for a few seconds before answering.

"Yu is good, I guess. But i've seen Naruto's taijutsu. His skills at it are out of this world for an academy student." Satsuki did not like how she had to say that — it made her ego lower down.

"Wow. Does that mean he's better than you at taijutsu?" Sakura asked. This caused Satsuki to grit her teeth. "No," answered Satsuki, lying straight through her teeth. "Oh? So second place then?" Satsuki nodded at that question.

Yu overheard this conversation and gained a look of disdain on his face.

I'll rip this guy to shreds! He is just all talk! There's no way he's better than me! Yu thought, his eyes clouding with pure and honest rage that was directed towards Naruto. "Get ready, I'll mop the floor with you!" Shouted Yu, his arrogance was seeping out of him.

Naruto did not seem intimidated by even the slightest.

Iruka looked at both sides to see if they were ready to begin the fight. Yu readied himself by using the academy stance tat they had been provided by. Iruka nodded and stuck his hand out.

"Begin," said Iruka, bringing his hand back in. The feral Yu started to charge right towards Naruto in a quick speed for an academy student. Naruto watched Yu's movements as he came even closer.

I'll play with my food for a little bit. Naruto thought, using optimal movement to maneuver his way around Yu's punches and kicks. This caused Yu to scrunch up his face into a scowl. "What's wrong! Can't keep up?! You're all talk!" Yu was pretty good at taijutsu for an academy student.

But the real question was: How long can he keep up trying to fight something he can't even hit?

"I don't get it — he's just dodging." A blonde girl suddenly spoke up, utterly confused at what Naruto was trying to do. "Yeah, me neither, Ino." Sakura agreed to what Ino had said. They heard a slight yawn behind them.

"Man. . . Naruto is actually doing a simple but effective tactic," said Shikamaru, looking towards the battlefield with his lazy eyes. "How?" Asked Ino, confused at what Shikamaru was saying. He just sighed.

"Sorry, it's too much work to explain." Shikamaru looked away and into the sky where the clouds lived at. Oh, how he wished he was one of them right now — his life would be complete.

"Explain. Now." Ordered Ino, her eyes sharpening into a glare that was directed towards Shikamaru. He yawned, turning his attention back to her. "Fine. You're going to be a drag about it if I don't explain." He turned his eyes back to the battle.

"By continuously dodging Yu's attacks, Naruto is tiring him out due to him wasting to much energy." This caused even more confusion to Ino. There was just something that her mind had came up to.

"But won't Naruto also waste his stamina? He is also having to dodge continuous attacks coming from Yu." Shikamaru sighed at that question. It was an obvious one at that.

"You know, Naruto probably wouldn't even be attempting to do this if he didn't have enough stamina to keep this up." Shikamaru diverted his attention from the fight back to the clouds right above. Naruto kept on dodging Yu's attacks left and right.

Sweat was pouring down from Yu's face. He was getting super tired now. The speed of his attacks were substantially and noticeably slower now. Yu was barely hanging on by a single thread.

Naruto was not even winded by the amount of dodging he had to do.

I'll end this now. Naruto thought, dodging one punch and one kick. He slowed down and did a low kick to Yu's knee to put him off balance for a second or two. In this split second of time, Naruto did his counter attack.

"This battle was on my terms since the very beginning," said Naruto, going to the ground and sweeping Yu's feet down so he would completely lose balance. He then lightly punched Yu in the stomach while he was falling.

The dirt ground was dusted by the impact of Yu's body falling onto the ground on utter defeat. Yu gritted his teeth, wrapping his arms around his stomach to reduce and caress himself from the pain,

"Oooooo!" Some people of the class did this in unison. Wow, they were such kids. Iruka looked at them to silence them all. They immediately did so and zipped their mouths closed.

Iruka looked both sides before making the decision.

"Winner: Ahihcu Naruto"
