Dozens of people soon surrounded the settlement's guiding fire. Not everyone knew why that was the case. Not Until each of the beastfolk got a second to take in that peace-evoking aroma.
As minutes passed and the bubbling rapidly gained intensity, Rizz watched on with peeled eyes. At one point, he held back his eyelids to try forcing the tiredness out of his face. Sadly, it had no effect, apart from fighting his heavy eyelids anew the moment he removed his fingers.
Tapping his toes… Wiping sweat from his brow… Itching a nostril or two… Rizz could tell exactly how much time was passing thanks to his quest countdown. But he had to make sure he was moving and doing something at all times. Rizz wouldn't dare to let his body relax at his point.
Then… it happened.
"NOW!" Rizz pumped his fist in the air. "Pull it off now!"
The crowd of beastfolk was pushed back as Kerl and others rushed to shovel and move the coals.
