It's been two weeks since the meeting and our public wedding announcement, things between Alex and I have not been going smoothly, he has been acting distant lately he goes out from morning till night and still does not allow me to go out on top of that we only have sex once in a while because he is always tired.
Tonight I plan on confronting him and clearing the air the moment I heard the door open I stood up and went to the sitting room to sit down waiting for him he entered looking tired as always
"Hi, why are you still up?" He asked me I shook my head to say anything"I just wanted to talk to you to know what is going on you've been distant lately I'm really worried about you" I said" Baby nothing is wrong I'm just working extra hard since I'm going to be a husband soon and I want you to my trophy wife" he said with a smile on his face I smiled back even though I knew something was wrong but they way he was responding it was obvious that he does not want to talk about it any further and I respect his wish I walked up to him and kissed him while helping him with his bag and suit, I served him dinner and we went to bed I was unable to sleep throughout the night because different thoughts kept coming to my head, I decided that I needed space from him then I remember the promise I made to my father.
The next morning I woke up early to pack a few things and told him I was going to spend time with my father he tensed up as I told him about it "Do you have to go?" he asked I said yes he was still reluctant but the look on my face said it all that there is no room for argument and he let It go on the condition that he is going to drop me off and one is guards will stay with me which I declined at first and he tried to use his alpha tone on me but I was not yielding because I'm not a member of his pack after little dragging here and there I finally agreed to his condition.
I'm standing in front of my father's pack house and I have this weird feeling as if I'm supposed to remember something that I'm not remembering I wave it off and step inside with Alex beside him he steps aside with my father and I went to my room which now contains some baby stuff and another thing that I don't remember putting there after checking my room for a while and arranging my stuff because I'm staying for a week even though I did not tell Alex that part, Alex came to my room to tell me that he is leaving and he will later be back because it was a two days journey and he has missed so much of work and he has to attend to them he kissed me and left, I practically slumped on the bed and slept off.
The next morning I walked out of my room after Changing into one of my old pajamas and went to the kitchen to look for food because I was used to seeing food in the kitchen luckily for me there was food and I devoured the food. While eating my father entered smiling at me before he came to sit beside saying "Something never changes" I smiled back while saying good morning with my mouth stuffed with food he walked up to me rubbed my head and told me to dress up and he wants to show me around.
My father and I have been walking around the pack house for a while and every time we pass a particular location he looks at me as if he is expecting me to say something I just smiled at him and kept walking around my father sighed and told him it was time to go back.
Later in the day I heard a knock on my door,I stood up opened the door and a young girl of around 3 years old walked in she hugged me and told me she had missed me I looked so confuse because I can't remember ever meeting this girl probably she is one of the park memebers daughter I carried her and asked her what her name was she looked me in the eye said and said you can't remember my name and I shakes my head saying no she looked sad but quickly recover saying "don't worry I will help you remember I'm maze" the name sounds so familiar and nice and I made a mental note to name my daughter maze she wrapped her tiny hands around mine and pulled me towards the door telling me she wants to show me something I smiled and followed her she took me to a beautiful gardern my garden at that because I remember planting all these flowers when I was young before everything went south with my parents I smiled asking her if she loves the place "this is my favorite place that's why I brought you my mom and I use to play here all the time she said with a puppy dog eyes" wow that's so cool I said who is your mom? I asked she looked at me with teary eyes and ran away have I said something wrong I wondered I ran after she called her name but she did not wait with her tiny legs carrying her as fast as she could After thirteen to fifteen wild steps I caught up to her carrying her and spinning her around she started laughing between her cries "hi baby I'm sorry if I said something wrong" I apologize to her while carrying her to my room when we go my room she brought out her photo album showing me pictures of her for the past six months I asked her about the previous years she said it is with her father and her father is out of town soon enough she is fast asleep on my chest and I felt this strong connection towards her the kind of connection that makes me feel like I can risk everything for her even my life.
I was sleeping off too when I heard a knock on my door at first I thought it was Alex and I felt sad because, for some weird reason, I didn't feel like leaving just yet I wanted to stay for a while, fortunately, It was my father that was by the door I told him to enter as low as I can be because I don't want to wake her up he entered and smiled looking at Maze sleeping soundly on my stomach I will come back later he said before leaving the room
