Chapter 97 - Chapter 97 : High Heaven Pavilion ll

"This residence will be yours from now on, Elder Yu," said You Zi Zai, who was the 5th Elder of High Heaven Pavilion.

Although Yu Tian wanted to join High Heaven Pavilion, he didn't expect to become the 6th Elder of the High Heaven Pavilion.

"Alright, thank you, Elder You," Yu Tian nodded towards the old man, who resembled a third-rate villain, indifferently as he gazed at the mentioned residence.

Although the residence couldn't be compared to his previous accommodations, it was large and spacious, clearly something not just anyone could obtain, especially since there were no other residences nearby, with the closest building being 1 km away.

"Then, I'll take my leave now," said You Zi Zai with a slight smile, though his eyes held some envy as he looked at Yu Tian, who was at the same level of power but much younger than him. "By the way, don't forget the ceremony in three days."

"Certainly," Yu Tian nodded, knowing that the Sect Master and Elders had informed him about the ceremony that would be held to welcome him. It was also an opportunity for him to take on a disciple or two, as the disciples of High Heaven Pavilion would be fighting against the disciples of Blood Battle Group and Storm House.

"Let's go in," said Yu Tian as he entered his new residence with Bi Lou walking beside him, her face well-hidden as she didn't want to cause trouble due to her appearance.

While everyone in High Heaven Pavilion was busy with preparations for the ceremony in three days, Yu Tian and Bi Lou quietly trained in their new residence.

While Bi Lou was absorbing Yuan Qi from the atmosphere, Yu Tian was practicing the Death Scripture. After learning Death Soul, he had completely neglected practicing it, so much so that he hadn't fully mastered Death Soul.

Therefore, he decided to take this opportunity to fully master Death Soul and, if possible, master another technique as well.

Thus, the atmosphere in the residence was calm as the two trained quietly, in contrast to the bustling outside world, where the frenzied preparations for the ceremony were underway, including preparing the hall, notifying the disciples outside to return, sending invitations, and many other tasks.

An old man in his fifties with white hair, a light beard, and an unthreatening appearance was lazily sitting on his chair, with Ling Tai Xu quietly sipping tea in front of him.

"So, can you tell me why you asked me to accept Elder Yu?" asked Ling Tai Xu, his dear friend, who was inconspicuous in High Heaven Pavilion yet the strongest person there.

This old man was Meng Wu Ya, an extremely powerful individual originally from the Tong Xuan Realm, known as the strongest man alive in his time. However, now he was in this small place with his true power sealed.

"It's because that child is a Dragon," said Meng Wu Ya, the laziness vanishing from his face, replaced by seriousness. "And it's very likely that he's also from the same place I came from."

"Are you saying that Elder Yu came from the Tong Xuan Realm?" asked Ling Tai Xu, frowning slightly as this could cause some trouble. "Wouldn't it be a problem if he's running from someone and they follow him here?"

Although Ling Tai Xu knew that Yu Tian was a Dragon, he didn't show any greed or desire like others might, knowing that a dragon's body was a treasure from its scales to its blood and flesh, and so on.

But instead of caring about these things, he was worried about High Heaven Pavilion, fearing that there might be a hidden catastrophe looming over them.

"There's no need to worry, as his claim of going out to gain experience was likely not a lie," said Meng Wu Ya with a smile, having examined Yu Tian from head to toe. It was clear that he wasn't injured or lacking in Yuan Qi, and his aura was steady and stable, indicating that he hadn't fought in a long time. "More importantly, you should focus on why he was drawn to High Heaven Pavilion, as dragons are known for their love of treasures and have an exceptional ability to locate them."

"Are you saying there's a treasure in High Heaven Pavilion or nearby?" Ling Tai Xu couldn't

help but raise an eyebrow in surprise upon hearing Meng Wu Ya's claim. However, something quickly came to his mind. "Could it be that the corpse of the Demon General in the Coiling Dragon Stream attracted his attention?"

"That's unlikely," Meng Wu Ya said confidently, recalling the absurdly pure Yang energy he sensed from Yu Tian. "From what I've observed, he possesses an incredibly strong Yang energy and wouldn't need the Demon General's corpse."

"Very well," Ling Tai Xu nodded after a moment of contemplation, deciding to trust his friend's judgment. "But, do you intend for us to steal the treasure that Elder Yu came to obtain?"

Speaking these words, Ling Tai Xu couldn't help but frown. He wasn't fond of the idea of stealing someone else's possessions, especially when the other person was a Dragon with a background that was likely extremely powerful.

"There's no need to worry, as we still don't know what this treasure is. But since it has caught the attention of a Dragon, it must be something significant, and he wouldn't mind if the disciples took some of the scraps," Meng Wu Ya said with a playful smile, stroking his small white beard. "After all, what is considered scraps to a Dragon would be more than enough for the disciples, and those scraps might even be beneficial for the Elders as well."

"I see. In that case, I'll ask you to prepare for this matter," Ling Tai Xu said, disappearing from the spot. After the incident with his disciples, he had been intervening in High Heaven Pavilion's affairs as little as possible, leaving the handling of important matters to the Elders or Meng Wu Ya.
