"My name is Chi Yu from the Flying Sword Sect," said a handsome young man with a cultivator's aura, "I hope we'll have a good match."
Unlike the arrogant cultivators, Chi Yu was polite and gentle.
"My name is Yu Tian, I don't belong to any sect," Yu Tian nodded politely towards the other side, as he was respectful to those who respected him, following the principle of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. "Pleased to meet you, Brother Chi Yu."
"I'm honored to meet you too, Brother Yu Tian," Chi Yu smiled and returned the gesture to Yu Tian.
"Are you ready?" asked a middle-aged man, scanning the individuals in the arena before continuing when he saw both sides nod, "Begin!"
After the exchange, the middle-aged man exited the arena with a backward leap to give the competitors enough space to fight.
"Samsara Eyes..." murmured Yu Tian, his eyes turning into Yin/Yang symbols as he gazed at Chi Yu and his companions.
Samsara Eyes were a simple application of the talent Yu Tian acquired when his Soul Attribute reached 100 points, granting him the ability of Samsara. It delved into the profound mysteries of the cycle of life and death, encompassing the essence of time, reincarnation, and the path to mastery.
Samsara Eyes allowed Yu Tian to ensnare his opponent in an illusion where their desires and dreams materialized, rendering them helpless. However, those with strong willpower could break free from the illusion, especially since Yu Tian's mastery of this ability was still low.
"Zhuqing, Karen, I rely on you to finish them," Yu Tian said calmly, acknowledging the flaw of needing intense focus to use his ability, unable to move lest the illusion be dispelled. However, this flaw would diminish as Yu Tian continued to master his power.
"Leave it to me," Zhuqing nodded, and a pair of cat ears appeared on her head, along with a tail at her back. Her nails turned into claws as she disappeared from her spot, causing Chi Yu and his companions to fall one after another.
"It's over," Zuhqing said, reappearing next to Yu Tian and Karen. She had used a swift strike to the back of the neck, causing Chi Yu and the others to lose consciousness, a simple task for her.
"The fight is over, and the members of the Flying Sword Sect are eliminated," announced the middle-aged man, pointing towards Chi Yu and the others being escorted out of the arena. "The winners of this round are the Talented team."
"The naming sense of Big Brother is strange as usual," Karen couldn't help but comment upon hearing their team's name.
"Sorry, but that's the first thing that came to mind," Yu Tian apologized without any hint of remorse, not really caring about their team's name as it was irrelevant to him.
"Next time, I should be the one to choose the name," Karen said as she walked out of the arena with the others. "My naming sense is a thousand times better, so there shouldn't be a problem."
Despite Karen's self-praise, Zuhqing's expression indicated that the siblings didn't have a good sense of naming.
"There are three more fights left; we'll have to face the people from the Misty Cloud Sect in the final, as they are the strongest in our exception," Yu Tian speculated as they exited the arena. Besides the Misty Cloud Sect and the Imperial Family, the other participants were merely mediocre.

A week later.
Time passed swiftly, and the tournament reached its finals as Yu Tian had anticipated, with only his team and the Misty Cloud Sect remaining after defeating the representatives of the Imperial Family. As for the teams they faced earlier, they were easily defeated by the trio, making their team the dark horse of the tournament, garnering much attention from the audience.
Due to their performance, Yu Tian and the others were discovered by numerous sects, including some tempting offers from them. Even the Imperial Family was among those interested, but they were all rejected outright, as Yu Tian lied about returning to their family, which prohibited them from joining other forces, sending them to the tournament solely for experience.
Upon hearing this, many second-tier sects and others gave up. However, many still wished to recruit Yu Tian and the others, as the younger generation was already formidable, which motivated them to seek the power of the older generation. It wasn't an exaggeration to say that they could easily rule the empire if they obtained such power.
Despite their intentions, they didn't say anything, seemingly giving up on recruiting Yu Tian and the others. However, they were already planning to buy them after the tournament, secretly contacting their family.
Although Yu Tian didn't know their plans, he wouldn't care even if he did, as he would return to the ATG World after the tournament, where the commotion would surely die down, and he would return to this world anew.
